48 cores seems excessive. I mean there is only quad-core now and it runs smooth. Maybe 10 cores max but 48 cores? If applications become more power intensive then this makes sense but for now, to reiterate, 48 cores?!

I could see 12 cores that split up to act like 48 virtual cores, but not 48 real cores
