Just recently the new president of Lucasarts cancelled TFU3. Could this have any affect on the development of SWBF3? After all in this article (http://www.daniweb.com/news/story305042.html) it says that Lucasarts is trying to become an independent company without any third party help. Does this mean we can expect to see a Battlefront game purely developed by Lucasarts in the future or none alltogethor? Yes, I'm very dissapointed by no trilogy of TFU but with Hayden Blackman gone, who would direct the third's development?

All I have to say is, Good.
The first game was AMAZING!!! It never got repetitive, and it was so fun collecting the saber crystals.
The second game was the first game, but with 2 sabers, and a confusing story. There was no innovation, and it was short.
The third game WOULD have been the same old poop. the only reason I would get it is if it had multiplayer, and it wouldn't have.

The The Force Unleashed was the first game I ever took back to the store. It was awful. Short campaign and mediocre animations came together to a terrible game. The part that should have been the most epic, taking down the destroyer, was absolutely disgusting to play through.
Damn do I ever hate that game

But dudeeeeeeee! It was funnnnnnnnnn! Didn't you love cutting those little worthless droids in half? Didn't you love watching Stormtroopers go flying after you chucked them away with the force push? Didn't you love throwing them through windows and watching them be sucked through space? Didn't you love... BOSS BATTLES!? Those were all amazing. I respect opinions, because everyone is different, but you had to have liked more than the Destroyer, Right?Scott wrote:Damn do I ever hate that game
After the first 20 or so same enemies it got old.Calvanater wrote:But dudeeeeeeee! It was funnnnnnnnnn! Didn't you love cutting those little worthless droids in half? Not at all. When you compare them to other combat heavy games with boss battles, like God of War, it's hard to stand them. They just weren't fun.Calvanater wrote:Didn't you love... BOSS BATTLES!?
I didn't like the Destroyer. It should have been amazing but was the worst part of the game.Calvanater wrote:...but you had to have liked more than the Destroyer, Right?
I'll say as I played through I had a decent time. Then I got to the end way too early and the anger began. Then I bought Flashpoint: Dragon Rising with the refund. Not the greatest either but I'd rather play that than TFU.
If you like the game, then that's great, you can have fun with (not being sarcastic). I wish I did like it but I really, REALLY, don't.

Yea... TFU wasn't the best game LucasArts made, it was the worst!

Jedi Master

Actually, the first game on PSP was amazing! The PS3 version was just VERY meh. I only played through the big droid graveyard planet half way and I stopped. So glad I only bought it for 10 bucks. Also never picked up TFU2 because they cancelled it on PSP. That was a big mistake because the first was a greatest hit on PSP and everyone thought it was fun(at least from what I have read and heard). So glad they cancelled. I guess I might want to pop in TFU1 into my PS3 and try playing it again.
Gaming is a way to show someone you ARE better than them

If they can get the gameplay right I might enjoy a third game.
Jedi Power Battles was a pretty similar game way back in the PS1/Dreamcast days. Only that game was fun as hell. The problem with The Force Unleashed is that it has a story.

For me SWTFU 1 and 2 are some of the best games related to star wars and it would be a real shame to cancel the third game considering at the end of number 2 it was left a a cliffhanger. (when Boba Fett follows the Rogue Shadow into lightspeed) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LK58iuqf ... detailpage)
I have also found a website claiming that the 3rd game is still possible, i'm gonna keep my faith in this website and hope for a 3rd game.
