Unannounced project - E3 2011

Post by spartan64 »

As posted on a different thread in the news & rumors section, a message from Spark quoted "We are all working towards an announcement by the publisher sometime this show season which includes E3 2011".
I'm not sure what this means but does this mean that they are attending the expo?
Remember, Spark Unlimited are not on the exhibitor list. :??:

Considering it says "an announcement by the publisher" it means that whoever is publishing the game, be it Lucasarts or otherwise, will be the one to present it, and not Spark themselves.

"We are using our experiences to develop a high-profile, popular game property for a major publishing partner."
Right... ok... I got it.

@Scott. Good question you asked before. Who is the publisher?

@Kelevra. Wouldn't they still be attending E3 if they are collaborating with LucasArts?

If all they're going to do is announce the title and show pretty trailers, I don't think the developers themselves would need to be present.

Ok, never mind Spark Unlimited, but it shows that the unannounced project will be announced at the expo. While it says "We are all working towards an announcement" the announcement could most likely be a trailer. Their webpage still hasn't changed.

Ok, topic is now temporarily changed. What will Rebellion do at E3?

My guess is that they will announce a hand held game for the NGP (hoping its a Battlefront 3 version). But then I thought LucasArts will handle the publishing and so there would be no need for Rebellion to attend the expo. That means no handheld battlefront 3 (if it exists) this year.

Keep in mind that Rebellion is looking for business partners for whatever it is they're working on. I can only assume that means a publisher. If Lucasarts is behind it, I doubt Rebellion would need to go fishing for publishers. Especially for a Star Wars game. Especially for a Battlefront game.

Spark is not attending E3. Spark said that their publisher is announcing the game for them at E3, and of course LucasArts is going to be at E3.
