There is a whole hell of a lot info on the PSP2 or what's now called NGP. From graphics that rival the PS3, 3G, and OLED Technology. It even has a touch screen in the front and a touchpad in the back and Dual analog sticks. Here are a bunch of links to everything you need to know.

If the screen is not larger than the original then I will never think of buying it.

I'm going to wait on this one. I just got a PSP 3000 for Christmas.

They still plan on supporting the PSP and the PSP2 doesn't have a confirmed 2011 release date. And there is still a lot of great games for PSP like the God of war games.Legion 2.5 wrote:I'm going to wait on this one. I just got a PSP 3000 for Christmas.

I'm going to be more conservative on this. Usually I'd get it early but I want to see what games will be coming out and most importantly, the price point. Sony always seems to have really high price points at the beginning of their products life (with the exception of the PS2).
Fingers crossed.
Fingers crossed.

It is. Not only that it's screen is larger that a whole i-phone/i-pod. The screen is 5 inches.spartan_sixtyfour wrote:If the screen is not larger than the original then I will never think of buying it.

It doesnt look very "groundbreaking" ...
Touch screen, trophies, even the games look like they might be ps3 ports..
Its all been done before. Plus the pricing will be like $400. I think ill stick to my ps3...
At least till i see something good from it.

Is that an ancient tibetan dagger in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?
When has a handheld ever had touch screen, trophy support, and next gen console quality graphics?ctrooper wrote:It doesnt look very "groundbreaking" ...![]()

I'm not saying I disagree with your thesis, but it does have a chance to be huge (but that is TBD).

But the touch screen, the trophy or achievments and graphics have been done already by Apple....(Im not sure if the NGP's graphics will be better than an ipod)Not to mention the 3ds will have the 3D...

Trophy support via a huge network like PSN has not been done before. The graphics on the NGP are also said to compete with the PS3, be able to remote play ANY PS3 game, and Hideo Kojima even whipped up a quick demo of MGS4 on the NGP (albeit only 20FPS, but it was quick). The NGP's graphics will outdo all previous attempts in the handheld market.ctrooper wrote:the trophy or achievments and graphics have been done already by Apple....

Unfortunately that is becoming a kick in the pants for Nintendo as many people getting hands on time are having nausea and other types of sickness after short periods of viewing. Nintendo has also released an official statement saying how it is bad for children's developing eyes (their key demographic).
Not saying one is better than the other, just replying to what you said.
