From the LucasArts forums:

I sent an email to a couple of spark employees a week or so ago saying that "I heard there are rumors about your new game being Star Wars Battlefront III, and although I know you're under NDA you can't deny that, but can you at least say when you think it will be announced?"

And he replied along the lines of "the internet is full of unfounded rumors so I wouldn't put much stock in them. As for the title it should be released sometime in 2012". He also said it should be announced in a few months most likely. But he really emphasized the part about not believing any rumors on the internet, and the only rumor I mentioned was the one about them creating SWBF3.

2012 seems likely to me.

You didn't need to post this 5 times, delete the repeat posts or you'll get into trouble.
This is a rumour so i'm not trusting it, this would break the NDA anyway so it's not true...

Sorry about those 5 posts, didnt see that. Must have been a bug cause didnt do that on purpose. It took very long to post it, so maybe it got something to do with that.

I really hope Battlefront 3 comes out next year instead of this year as I want every bit of quality being poured into this game (something recent LA titles always lack).

But it deserves to be officially announced this year for the respect of the fans.

It's either this year or around early next year if it's announced. Same thing with Mass Effect 3.
