I found some interesting news re guarding possible Halo 1 remake. Here it is http://www.computerandvideogames.com/ar ... ?id=278410 and it may come on it's 10 year anniversary using Reach engine

One other news. Possible leaked images of the new Halo called Halo Nemesis and bungie's next game codenamed Aerospace have surface. Here is a video with the info http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rlzelhhd ... re=related

The images may be fakes but something like this happened with Halo Reach and it turned out to be legit. So this may be the case. Just post your thoughts on it.

Why a Halo 1 remake? That's unnecessary and a clear cash grab.

Well it's what the fans want. It was THE Launch title for the Xbox and was one of the first real console first-person shooters. Plus this November marks it's ten year anniversary of the original release.

I can tell you are younger then me considering you've forgotten GoldenEye, one of the most influential games of all time whether you played it or not. :P

Yep. Through a party then, don't do a remake.

@Scott I'll PM my age if you do yours but i am not a real James bond fan but I have heard of goldeneye game. I didn't say halo was the first console shooter just one of the first real ones.

I haven't even seen one movie but it didn't matter as GoldenEye was the game to play back then. It had splitscreen, lots of maps, different game modes and weapon sets, everyone played it.

The James Bond shooters are the first real (however that can be defined) shooters on the consoles. In fact, GoldenEye was the first if I am not mistaken and other shooters like Perfect Dark and The World is Not Enough pushed the genre on the consoles even more (before 2000).

I'd suggest to grab an emulator.

Golden eye was an absolute classic and then perfect dark came a bit later, which was also brilliant. The perfect sims on that game were incredably difficult to beat, I mean me and my friend would have incredibly close games with them (us Vs 2 perfect sims) and we could quite happily crush armies of the other sims.

Anyway back on topic. Didn't bungie intend for Reach to put the Halo franchise to bed for the next few years whilst they worked on some other titles and stretched thier wings for a while?

As for the Halo CE re-make, i'd rather they just left it be in all honesty and focus on something non-halo related, i'd like to see what else bungie have floating around thier heads.

Anyway, on a completely seperate note, does anybody notice anything about my post count, upon making this post in this topic? Very Coincidental.

I still play The World is Not Enough with my friends on an emulator (squished on a keyboard) only because GoldenEye is too buggy in the emulated version (also I kind of like TWINE better...I know...heresy).

Yes they did. They also went multiplatform. Maybe some other first party owned company will take over.

I had the same feeling when God of War III was released. I love God of War but I'm glad (or I guess at this point hoping) that they are going to try something new. It's very seldom when we get to see a big company with a big franchise try something new. So far it's been good: Rockstar and Red Dead, Valve and Portal, Naughty Dog and Uncharted, Insomniac and Resistance, etc, etc.

I'm probably missing a Halo reference right? :8(:

Indeed so Tretarn. 343 Industries is lead by Frank O' Connor, one of the key people behind the story of Halo.

I was so happy to destroy that guy in Halo 3.

I'd buy a remake ad long as it is not fully priced.

That would be a good idea to but the remake is said to use Reach engine. The only thing I want right is level design, same multiplayer maps as original (maybe a few extras), the file share, same customization as original or import character from Reach. Same weapons not changed.

I used to REALLY want Halo but I decided not too. Guess it was one of those random craves :??: Oh well good to see Bungie making a PS3 game along with other versions. Hope it is a first person shooter relatively like Halo, except more military less alien :D
Gaming is a way to show someone you ARE better than them :P
