Mass Effect 3

Post by drunken hutt »

The VGA trailer of the Mass Effect 3 debut blew my mind away. Finally, Earth gets to play a significant part in the series and it's confronting to see it practically owned by Reapers. But we all know Commander Shepard will arrive to save the day! (the World, I should say)

Your link to epicness: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geTD0gWh8w0

It's interesting to note that the Reapers have some sort of minion army as I have no idea what that rifleman sniped while protecting the civilians.

Anybody have any thoughts on the trailer?

Not impressed

I don't know really. I am a PS3 owner so I have to wait to get ME2 still. I'm not too up-to-date with the story so again, I'm left in the dark. It's just a teaser trailer and I ignore most teasers (if I know the game or not) and simply take them as an announcement. The only teaser I ever really analyzed was Resistance 3 (for some reason). The ESV teaser confuses the hell out of me, but I can't say I am disappointed about the announcement :D

Yeah, I really have no idea how ME2 is gonna sell well on the PS3 considering (I assume) most PS3 gamers might be shy to play a new series of game that they barely know anything about.

Though I hear that ME2 will have some sort of motion comic at the start of the game to give an overview of the story so far in the series.

With Elder Scrolls, Mass Effect 3, La Noire, Dukem Nukem, Metal Gear Rising, Bulletstorm, Max Payne 3, Arkham city, Crysis 2, TW2, Gears 3, Dead Space 2, Forza 4 and many more my 2011 year in gaming is going to be amazing.

Last year (the one that's still kicking) was supposed to be great but I was very underwhelmed. Last year was one of my favourites.

I freaking love Mass Effect, I've been waiting for it since I finished ME2. Still can't replace Battlefront 3 though :(

BioWare is truly a tour de force in the RPG world. I still like Bethesda a bit more because they are multiplatform and I enjoy their worlds more but BioWare is still amazing. Dragon Age II, ME2 for the PS3, ME3, and ToR all being developed at once and LA can't even give us BFIII!

I hate LA so I'm glad the hate is spreading. If they can release a game the fans want (instead of what they think we want) then perhaps they will get some respect back from me. Why no RC2, XWing, Bounty Hunter, BF, or any game we actually want? Who the hell asked for all of these Lego and TFU games?

Bioware listens to their fans with ideas for their games. One of the main problems with the first dragon age was the combat and they said that was one of the main things they are looking to fix in Dragon Age II, and the gameplay I've seen it does look improved. Lego Star Wars III The Clone Wars is probably going to be the last Lucasarts game I'll by if BF3 isn't announced. Star Wars the old republic I'll get because of BIoware not lucasarts.
