Favourite Rock Album of All Time

Post by Scott »

So I was brushing my teeth to get the bad taste out of my mouth after watching Lady GaGa open the grammy's, when I thought, Wow music sucks now, what ever happened to good ol' rock and roll? So I came here to ask YOU the reader of this sentence, what is your favourite rock album of all time? Was it on CD? Digital? Cassette? LP?! Tell me and I will read what you wrote back. Now all joking and random moments of pointing out the obvious aside, my favourite album was and still is Highway to Hell. I bought this on CD because I had been discouraged to buy it, well with all the free music on the internet. But since I was in a HMV I thought what the hell? It is one of the best AC/DC and general rock albums of all time and I strongly encourage you to spend the $16 to buy it on CD instead of stealing it. Although go ahead and keep stealing Lady GaGa's "music" cause maybe she'll finally go away and leave me alone in my nightmares. Also I just want to point out, I am being to harsh (not about Lady GaGa) about the rock and roll industry because bands like Cage the Elephant and Airborne keep on rockin' in the free world.

Aerosmith - Devil's got a new disguise

Its a CD

* Any music from the good days is my favorite. I prefer AC/DC, to Queen and back to Bon Jovi...(Even though he still has music coming out)

So does AC/DC. Black Ice was released in 2008. Man that concert was sweet.

I didn't go to it, but what I meant is that Bon Jovi has released a lot of new music. AC/DC came back with one new album

I agree, music is mostly rubbish these days.

I don't really have favourites for any music. I listen to what I want at particular times. I also like a wide variety of music.

Take a look at that Spotify playlist to see.

Sounds like fun :)

The AC/DC concert was loaded with drinkers, smokers, pot heads, and people who don't know what deodorant is used for. It felt like you were being hot boxed, which could be a good thing if you really like getting high...

Did I mention how much I like ending a statement with ellipses?

It's the Grammy's again and I have been disappointed another time. One "current" song I actually enjoy is **** You by Cee Lo Green. Yet, his performance encapsulated everything wrong with the show and industry.

The "musicians" are no longer that. They are now just people who want to make money. Why the hell was CLG out there singing with the muppets? They seem to just do stupid as **** things to get attention and viewers when really the music takes a back seat. I can longer even listen to the song without feeling sick.

It seems every year the industry gets worse and worse. Do they think this will stop people from stealing music? It'll probably scare casual fans from seeing concerts thus taking a stab at their income.

At the end of the day, I don't really care in the grand scheme, but I still feel a love for the good 'ol days that we will probably never come close to again. The next generation of children is going to suck, but they are almost upon us.

Your last post Scott.... so true! Music nowadays is horrible! Thanks to the gawd awful Lady gagas and (cringe) lil wayne, music will plummet into a dark abyss...
I swear though that almost everyone at my school likes those people... Makes me sad.
As for me I like rock n roll... Anything from Led Zeppelin to AC/DC to the Beatles..

P.S. I will slap anyone that goes to watch that Beaver movie.. :8(:
Is that an ancient tibetan dagger in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?
