Bossk (meaning "Devours His Prey" in Dosh) was a Trandoshan bounty hunter and the pilot of the Hound's Tooth. He also held the title of Monarch of the Qotile system.[4] He was particularly unfond of Chewbacca and his Human partner Han Solo. He would face them several times, and would be one of the six bounty hunters Darth Vader hired to track down and capture the Millennium Falcon. Despite the fact that Bossk loved to hunt and skin Wookiees, he would unknowingly aid in the freeing of hundreds of Wookiee slaves on the island world of Lomabu III. He was also a frequent partner and foe of both Boba Fett and Zuckuss, both fellow bounty hunters. After being repeatedly beaten by Boba Fett, he would eventually boost his reputation as a bounty hunter by defeating Fett on Tatooine.

Just a boy, Fett was forced to grow up. He took assignments from beings such as Jabba the Hutt, and achieved notoriety despite his young age. When the Empire was formed in 19 BBY, it was the perfect environment for Fett. He became known as the galaxy'sbest bounty hunter of the next several decades, often working for the Empire. Fett collaborated with Darth Vader on several occasions, and the Sith Lord even developed a begrudging respect for the bounty hunter.
Fett made his most notable bounty in 3 ABY, when he captured Rebel Alliance hero Han Solo, and brought him to Jabba. A year later, during the Skirmish at Carkoon, Fett fought against the group of Rebels. However, he was knocked into the mouth of thesarlacc by Solo. Though no one in recorded history had ever escaped from the sarlacc, Fett was able to escape, although not entirely unscathed. Thanks to his iron will and Mandalorian armor, he was able to fight his way out of the beast's belly, killing the sarlacc. Back in action, he continued his work as a bounty hunter. He had a wife named Sintas Vel, a daughter named Ailyn Vel, and a granddaughter Mirta Gev. After a promise made to a dying Fenn Shysa, Fett became Mandalore and eventually led the Mandalorians through the Yuuzhan Vong War. He later helped strengthen the people and the planet of Mandalore after the discovery of a large deposit of Mandalorian iron, which was ironically unearthed during the war by the Yuuzhan Vong's bombardment of the surface. Later, during the Second Galactic Civil War, Boba and his granddaughter formed an unlikely alliance with former enemies such as Han Solo and the Jedi Coalition. Fett also trained Darth Vader's granddaughter Jaina Solo to kill her twin brother, Darth Caedus.
