Details:
The Providence-class carrier/destroyer, also known as the Trade Federation cruiser, was a capital starship used by the CIS Navy during the Clone Wars. It was originally produced and used by the Trade Federation, hence the nickname. Designed by the Quarren Free Dac Volunteers Engineering Corps, the rounded, pseudo-organic aesthetic, influenced by the planet Dac, would be echoed in the design of the later Mon Calamari Star Cruisers. The ships were operated by 600 droids but commanded by sentient officers.

The surface of Providence-class ships were covered with numerous heavy weapons emplacements. Modified vessels such as the Invisible Hand included fourteen turret-mounted quad turbolasers, thirty-four dual laser cannons, two capital-scale ion cannons, twelve point-defense ion cannons, and 102 proton torpedo tubes.

The reactors onboard each vessel produced so much power, even their point-defense ion cannons were each capable of delivering enough heat per shot to rival a 4.8 megaton bomb. This weaponry and armor made them capable of taking on Victory and Venator-class Star Destroyers. Providences would be used extensively in Confederate offensives in the late Clone Wars, and would be present at several Separatist conquests. During this time, the most famous vessel of the Providence-class was a modified specimen named Invisible Hand, which served as flagship for General Grievous.

12 Dual light laser cannons
60 Point-defense laser cannons

Details:
The Recusant-class light destroyer, also known as the Recusant-class support destroyer and commonly referred to as the Commerce Guild destroyer, was a starship used by the CIS Navy during the Clone Wars. The Recusant-class, like the vast majority of the Confederacy's warships, was largely controlled by automated droid brain technology. This proved to be a flaw, however, for the droid brain had a lower reaction time, which caused it to run into other ships often. However, little crew space was required. This gave the Commerce Guild destroyer a sinister, skeletal appearance.

The Recusant-class was based on technical schematics stolen from the Mon Calamari by Quarren separatists. It was mass-produced by zealous workers led by Techno Union Foremen, using materials from many Commerce Guild worlds. The Commerce Guild destroyer was manufactured by Hoersch-Kessel Drive, Inc. and Free Dac Volunteers Engineering Corps.

This class was fielded from early on in the Clone Wars. They were donated to the Separatist cause by hundreds of star sectors eager to defend their independence. During the war, large numbers of this vessel were built, destroyed in battle, and replaced. Recusants were often used to carry out raids on Republic commercial shipping, though prey in large number sometimes proved deadly.

Commerce Guild destroyers were most effective when deployed in large numbers, like most Confederate military units. Four to six Commerce Guild destroyers could easily defeat a Republic Venator-class or Victory-class Star Destroyer. However, a thousand Recusants were needed to successfully engage a Kuat Drive Yards Mandator II-class Star Dreadnaught. During the height of the Clone Wars, it was unusual to see the class deployed in groups of less than four ships. A major flaw of the class was its stubbornness in battle. A Recusant would continue to attack a chosen target until it was destroyed or disabled, and ignore other enemy units during this process.

Munificent-class star frigate

Approximate Cost: 57 million credits
Crew: 200
Complement: If configured: Several starfighters
Passengers: 150,000 deactivated battle droids

Armament:
2 Prow heavy turbolaser cannons
2 Long-range heavy ion cannons
26 Twin turbolaser cannons
20 Light turbolaser turrets
38 Point-defense laser cannons
8 Flak guns
1 Hyperwave jammer

Details:
The Munificent-class was 825 meters in length and had a skeletal look, owing to the fact that these ships required a small crew to operate and were not designed to be carriers. Along the longitudinal spines of the ship ran tensor fields and the inertial compensator that helped maintain the structural integrity of the vessel.

They had four extensive sensor and communications arrays affixed to the center of the hull in a cross-pattern. Several docking rings were located underneath these and the vertical arrays also had room for several point-defense cannons.

Banking Clan star frigates were light CIS warships armed for heavy combat with oversized guns, a massive twin turbolaser cannon, and two long-range ion cannons for use against capital ships. Complementing the heavy weaponry were 38 point-defense laser cannons for anti-starfighter firepower, and 26 twin turbolaser cannons and 20 light turbolaser turrets for flexible response. Some ships dispensed with the heavy twin turbolaser.

The ships carried 150,000 battle droids for boarding or ground operations, and were capable of shielding droid starfighters within their hulls. A system of docking rings lined the sides of each ship. In the forward hollow areas, war materials could be stored for transfer, while in times of peace, they were used to transfer valuable financial assets.

Manufactured by Hoersch-Kessel Drive and Gwori Revolutionary Industries, the star frigates were used by the Clan to defend their private, secure comm network, harass worlds heavily in debt, transfer key financial assets and guard treasure vaults. The Munificent acted as a key component of the Banking Clan's network by carrying hyperwave transceivers and communications arrays that allowed secure financial transactions to occur across the galaxy.

When the Banking Clan joined the Confederacy, Chairman San Hill devoted a fleet of star frigates to the cause. The class became a staple of the Confederate Navy during the Clone Wars and formed the backbone of the fleet, with tens of thousands produced. The ships' hulls bore the blue-and-white Confederate emblem and paint scheme, although many ships also bore both the green stripes of the Banking Clan and the Confederate colors. Towards the end of the war, thousands of Munificent frigates participated in the Battle of Coruscant. Munificent-class star frigates assisted the navigation and coordination of Confederacy fleets deep in enemy space. They also escorted and coordinated Separatist fleet actions such as attacks on the interstellar HoloNet relays to demoralize and isolate Galactic Republic forces. The Confederacy also took advantage of the star frigate's powerful antennae to broadcast anti-Republic propaganda while using its jamming devices to hinder enemy sensors, targeting systems and distress calls.

Armament:
2 Laser cannon batteries

Details:
Manufactured by the Commerce Guild, this cruiser served as a rapid deployment carrier for OG-9 homing spider droids and DSD1 dwarf spider droids. Capable of carrying thousands of spider walkers into combat, the Diamond-class cruiser was a valuable asset for the Commerce Guild. The cruiser was armed only with a number of laser cannons, though upon leaving the transport, the cruiser's droids could provide cover fire during takeoff.

An arc-shaped vessel powered by three sublight drives, the Diamond-class cruiser became part of the Separatist starfleet in the lead-up to the Clone Wars. Over forty Commerce Guild transports were present at the outbreak of the Clone Wars on Geonosis, having transported war machines and Guild officials to the official forming of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

When the Grand Army of the Republic invaded the Separatist stronghold, Commerce Guild pilots immediately prepared their vessels for lift off, gathering up as much of their cargo as they could. Of the forty-one transports docked on Geonosis, thirty-six escaped the battle to regroup and rejoin the war.

Sev'rance Tann would use mainly Diamond-class ships as transports in her successful campaign against the Republic to acquire the Decimator and seize Sarapin. Commerce Guild President Shu Mai used a modified Diamond-class cruiser as her personal flagship, using it to travel to and from Separatist strongholds on Castell, Felucia, Utapau, and Mustafar. Several Diamond-class vessels also participated in the First Battle of Tythe.

1,500 Vulture droid starfighters
1,500 Troop carriers
550 Multi-Troop Transports
6,250 Armored Assault Tanks
329,600+ B1 battle droids

Details:
At over three kilometers in diameter, the enormous vessels resembled a donut-shape missing a section of its circumference and with a central sphere containing the ship's bridge and reactor assemblies. The front void of the craft, held two mammoth docking bays on either side, lined with forward docking claws. These gigantic cargo vessels had been built for many years by the Trade Federation to haul cargo between planets and were an important asset to their enterprise.

Housed in the stern of the main body were the main reactors, each connected to one of the three main engines, as well as to secondary engines and each other. The central sphere housed its own reactor/power generator assemblies.

Lining the equatorial bands in batteries of three, were quad turbolaser cannons capable of rotating inwards when not in use. Their limited coverage of the hull made the early battleships vulnerable, and made them rely more on the massive number of starfighters carried, to defend the ships against enemy starfighters. This was, however, rectified with later ships whose armor and shields proved too strong for starfighter firepower, the fact becoming quickly apparent at the Battle of Naboo.

Battleships fighting in the Clone Wars had less trouble with weak spots, as they were augmented with gun batteries and much stronger shielding. Batteries of long guns and heavy guns complemented the additional quad turbolaser batteries added to the Lucrehulk superstructure when the war erupted. Battleships fighting in the Clone Wars had less trouble with weak spots, as they were augmented with gun batteries and much stronger shielding. Batteries of long guns and heavy guns complemented the additional quad turbolaser batteries added to the Lucrehulk superstructure when the war erupted.

Each ship was also now so powerful due to the increased amount of power devoted to offensive and defensive systems that a whole flotilla of Republic Star Destroyers was needed just to bring down its shields.

During the war, the Lucrehulk-class received a massive upgrade in terms of firepower, with the addition of hundreds of long guns, quad guns, and heavy guns dotting the surface of both the core ship and the surrounding cargo arms. They, along with the other capital ships of the Confederate Navy, also proudly wore the colors and insignia of the Confederacy. A few dozen participated in the attack on Coruscant towards the end of the war.

Armament:
2 Ion pulse cannons
5 Heavy turbolaser batteries
2 Medium turbolaser batteries
5 Point-defense light laser cannon batteries
2 Tractor beam batteries
Proton torpedo launchers

Details:
The Confederate Navy's most powerful battleship class, it had some design-similarities to both the Providence-class carrier/destroyer and the Recusant-class light destroyer, but was larger than five Jedi cruisers and totalled 4,845 meters in length. The class was based around its ion pulse cannons, a weapons-system not used onboard any other warship class, due to its unique power-generation needs.

Despite its status as the Confederacy's most powerful battleship design, eclipsing pre-war models like the Lucrehulk-class, the model was classified as a heavy cruiser and was one of the largest designs that came from the Confederate shipyards. The battleship was fitted with the aforementioned gigantic ion cannons which were charged with plasma rotors and fired a focused and directed ionic pulse at Republic capital ships, completely neutralizing their power systems. The weapon needed a significant cooldown period after each shot, to let ionized particles be cleaned out of the cannon before the next firing sequence.

The battleship was so massive that it could receive heavy turbolaser bombardment from multiple enemy capital ships without being knocked out or even suffering any major damage, even with its shields disabled. Sixteen thrusters were positioned at the vessel's stern. However, it seems that the section connecting the ion cannon to the ship itself wasn't as durable and bombardment to this area caused the weapon to overload during its firing sequence. Anakin Skywalker and his squadron attacked the Malevolence in this manner and it resulted in the destruction of both ion cannons and considerable damage to the ship, knocking out its hyperdrive as well as number of other systems, shields included.

2 Medium dual turbolaser cannons
Turbolaser cannons (unknown number; may be a modification)
52 Point-defense laser cannons
6 Tractor beam projectors
4 Heavy proton torpedo tubes (16 torpedoes each)

Details:
The Venator-class Star Destroyer, also known as the Venator-class Destroyer, Republic attack cruiser, and later Imperial attack cruiser, was one of the capital ships used extensively by the Galactic Republic during the later parts of the Clone Wars, as well as by the Galactic Empire. It was designed and constructed by Kuat Drive Yards and Allanteen Six shipyards.

While designed primarily for ship-to-ship combat, the Venator had secondary roles ranging from starfighter carrier, to military transport and battleship escort. The expanded carrier role made the Venator-class popular amongst Jedi starfighter aces.

As a popular multi-role warship of the Republic Navy, the Venator was considered heavily armed and armored enough to lead assaults on Rim worlds like Utapau as well as fast enough to chase down blockade runners. Due to being relatively less self-sufficient than other ships in the fleet, the Venator-class often relied upon supply lines to aid long-range campaigns.

These vessels also sported the red color of diplomatic immunity all Republic ships sported; by the beginning of the Galactic Empire, the hulls were deprived of this symbol of the Republic, giving them a dull Imperial-gray appearance. At the suggestion of Anakin Skywalker, a heavy SPHA turbolaser cannon was installed within the ventral hangar bay of some Venator-class ships of the Open Circle Fleet. These weapons were meant to protect the Star Destroyers while they opened their long ventral doors to the army complement bays. They would be used to considerable effect during the Battle of Coruscant.

Venator-class Star Destroyers were deployed in many battles during the Clone Wars, most notably during the Battle of Coruscant when upwards of a thousand such ships helped protect the capital, and played pivotal roles in the repulsion of the CIS forces and the rescue of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. Separatist forces categorized this kind of vessel as Cruiser-class, to contrast the Escort-class designation for smaller vessels, like the Republic light cruisers and frigates.

24 Point-defense laser cannons
4 Proton torpedo tubes
100 Torpedos

Details:
Acclamator I-class ships also carried support equipment and vehicles, such as the AT-TE and SPHA-T walkers, used to provide clone troopers with heavy battlefield support.

Each Acclamator I-class ship held 320 speeder bikes, used by clone troopers for fast battlefield reconnaissance and patrol duties. Eighty LAAT gunships were carried to insert personnel, vehicles, and cargo into battle zones in addition to providing close air support.

Gunships were suspended along an overhead circulating rail in the upper hangar for maintenance procedures during travels. A lower, smaller hangar area was used to embark and disembark ground troops and material when landed. The two levels were connected with elevator platforms. Most of the passenger and barrack decks were located on the upper levels of an Acclamator-class ship.

As the Jedi Master Yoda arrived on Kamino to gather an invasion force, dozens of Acclamator Is had already been built and readied for the soldiers they were designed to carry. In their first engagement at the Battle of Geonosis, the class proved pivotal in the Republic victory, delivering legions of clone troopers to the battlefield while a large Republic fleet engaged the Separatist fleet in orbit. After delivering their troops, the Acclamators pulled back to provide orbital support, with only a portion of the ships ending up damaged in the battle.

40 Double turbolaser batteries
80 Assault concussion missile tubes (4 missiles each)

Details:
The Victory I-class Star Destroyer, also known as the Victory I-class Destroyer and Victoria I-class Star Destroyer, was a warship designed for planetary defense, planetary assault, ground troop support, and ship-to-ship combat. It was used by the Galactic Republic during the mid-Clone Wars, the Galactic Empire and the Corporate Sector during the Galactic Civil War and the Confederation during the Second Galactic Civil War.

At the start of the Clone Wars and the introduction of the Acclamator-class assault ship, the Arch-Provost of Rendili ordered industrial spies and ship-designers to come up with a way to curb Kuat's lead on new contracts with the Galactic Republic.

The two rival shipbuilders, Rendili StarDrive and Kuat Drive Yards, later embarked on a collaborative design-project while the war was still in its early phases. This was called the "Victor Initiative Project", which resulted in the Victory-class. This design by Walex Blissex became a direct challenge to Kuat's Venator-class.

An early batch of Victory I-class Star Destroyers were deployed to defend Sector 0 against the Techno Union's fleet of Bulwark-class Mark I battlecruisers, which had escaped the blockade of Foerost. This resulted in the deployment of the "Victory Fleet" six months ahead of schedule. Despite this, the majority of the initial commission group was not deployed until Palpatine had already dissolved the Galactic Republic and established his Imperial rule.

A subclass known as the Victory II was introduced later in the Clone Wars. Refitted with new ion engines by Hoersch-Kessel Drive to replace the underpowered LF9s, and trading the concussion missiles for ion cannons and extra turbolasers; this variant was designed with an emphasis on space combat, though at the cost of atmospheric capabilities. This newer class was externally very similar to its predecessor. Very few Victory II's were built, as they were introduced not long before the Imperial-class, which essentially supplanted it in the space combat role.

The Imperial I-class Star Destroyer, also known as the Imperial I-class Destroyer or the Imperator-class Star Destroyer, was an iconic class of warships designed by Lira Wessex and built by Kuat Drive Yards. The Imperial-class Star Destroyers, along with Imperial stormtroopers, represented the might of the Imperial Military throughout the galaxy during the reign of the Galactic Empire.

The Imperator-class was originally used by the Republic Navy toward the end of the Clone Wars, and served alongside the Tector-class in a few task forces during the conflict. It was at the time one of the largest warship classes in the Republic Navy. It later became a mainstay of the Imperial Navy and was also fielded to a lesser degree by the Empire's successor-states.

The Imperial I-class Star Destroyer possessed a main battery of six heavy turbolasers and two heavy ion cannons, arranged in four dual mounts flanking the ship's tower structure. Like with several other Star Destroyer classes, the designers did not take advantage of their wedge shape to give the heavy cannons the ability to focus on targets in the forward firing arc that were level with the ship. This could have been accomplished either by superelevating the aft turrets, or merely by spacing the turrets apart over a longer distance of the ship's length. In any case, this Star Destroyer class could bring all its heavy guns to bear by dipping its bow downward.

Imperial-class Star Destroyers typically carried a standard Imperial wing of 6 TIE squadrons, for a total of 72 starfighters.

The standard wing included four TIE Fighter squadrons (one squadron often referred to be a reconnaissance squadron of TIE/rc starfighters), one squadron of TIE Interceptors, one squadron of TIE Bombers (lower priority ships had to make do with TIE/gt starfighter-bombers). Often one or two flights in a fighter squadron were TIE/fc starfighters. Sometimes one of the fighter squadrons was used for training purposes. By the Battle of Endor, one of these fighter squadrons had been phased out in favor of a second squadron of TIE Interceptors.

The Imperator-class was designed as a massive, powerful, mid-sized warship, and appeared in limited numbers during the Clone Wars, where it served in several Republic task forces. As the war neared its end in 19 BBY, the production lines of new Imperator-class and Tector-class destroyers expanded, while the lines for the older, lighter Venator-class slowed down.

The first vessel was named the Executrix, while the second was the Exactor, which later served as the first personal flagship of the Imperial enforcer Darth Vader. There was also an Imperator among the Mk.I models, sharing the class name. Following the Great Jedi Purge and the establishment of the Galactic Empire in 19 BBY, the Imperator model was renamed Imperial-class and production of the class was increased even further and refined. Despite the name change, some Imperial documents continued to use the original name to identify the class.

Details:
The Executor-class Star Dreadnought, colloquially known as the Executor-class Super Star Destroyer or Executor-class Star Destroyer, was a heavy warship class in the Star Dreadnaught league, often used as command ships and flagships in the Imperial Navy. At their prime, they were among the largest vessels in the galaxy, second only to the Eclipse-class and superweapons like the Death Stars, and were almost invincible in combat, although they were costly to operate.

The Executor-class was the brainchild of Lira Wessex, the brilliant and ambitious engineer who already had the designs of the Venator-class and Imperator-class (later renamed Imperial-class) Star Destroyers to her credit.

Adhering to Kuat Drive Yards' philosophy of psychological effect in starship design, or "terror styling", she believed that the immense size of an Imperial-class Star Destroyer was largely responsible for its ability to intimidate opponents. Working on that theory, she began designing a starship that would dwarf all her previous works. Though KDY had designed and built extremely large warships in the past, such as Star Dreadnaughts like the Mandator-class and Star Battlecruisers like the Procurator-class, the result obtained by Wessex was utterly gargantuan.

Emperor Palpatine authorized the construction of the first four Executor-class ships even before the Battle of Yavin (0 BBY), but it still had to be slipped past the watchful eyes of various oversight committees in the Imperial Senate; to the very last, the minority of Senators who opposed Palpatine and his policies used the few political tools they had left to hinder him, and one of these was budget oversight. To conceal the particulars of the vessel from the opposition, the Navy listed the new ship as a "Super-class Star Destroyer" in budget reports submitted to the Senate, and understated its true length (19,000 meters) by many kilometers.

The Eclipse-class Super Star Destroyer, also known as the Eclipse-class Star Destroyer, was a class of Imperial Super Star Destroyer manufactured by Kuat Drive Yards and mainly used around six years after the Battle of Endor. Like the Sovereign-class, they were regarded as a new generation of Super Star Destroyer.

The most deadly weapon carried by Eclipse-class ships was a spinally-mounted superlaser that was almost as powerful as one of the component beams used in the Death Star's superlaser. This superlaser was the pinnacle of Imperial destruction in their fleets. An Eclipse's superlaser easily had the power to destroy other Super Star Destroyers, as the Annihilator found out when Tyber Zann seized the Eclipse's incredible power above Kuat.

Destroying other ships however, doesn't show the extent of the Eclipse's superlaser's power. These weapons were capable of slashing through any planetary shield to crack open a planet's crust and sear entire continental landmasses. The massive superlaser was more widely used to destroy enemy capital ships and space stations during combat.

She was destroyed along with the reborn Emperor in 10 ABY, during an Imperial attack on Pinnacle Moon in the Da Soocha system, when Luke Skywalker and his sister, Princess Leia Organa Solo, managed to disrupt the Emperor's control of a titanic Force storm, a massive conflagration of dark side energy that the Emperor had summoned in order to wipe out the massed New Republic fleet.

20 Taim & Bak GX-7 quad laser cannons

Details:
The Immobilizer 418 was developed as a counter to the Rebel Alliance’s hyperdrive-equipped starfighters in particular, and hyperdrive equipped vessels in general. This was primarily to counter Alliance hit and run tactics, where a small group of starfighters or light starships would emerge from hyperspace, attack preselected targets, and re-enter hyperspace before sufficient force could be brought to bear on the raiders.

An Immobilizer at the site of attack, or able to access the area with a brief hyperspace jump, would be tasked to power up its gravity well generators in an attempt to prevent the escape of the raiding party. Starfighter and capital ship support were then be used to eliminate the attackers, whose only options were to try to run for the edge of the interdiction field, or to attack the Interdictor and hope to inflict enough damage to disable the cruiser’s influence. Either path would result in significant damage to the Alliance forces. Rebel pilots often mistook it for a miniature Star Destroyer when it was accompanied by Star Destroyers. It was only when they tried to escape into hyperspace that they realized it was an Interdictor.

A secondary duty of this class was to patrol trade routes. Freighters pulled out of hyperspace by an Interdictor would be in a position to have their cargo inspected. Interdictors could also blockade planets or moons, such as Yavin IV.

Grand Admiral Thrawn was especially famous in connection with Interdictors for developing and refining a tactic that would be named after him. The "Thrawn Pincer" positioned the Interdictor's gravity wells along certain vectors. Other vessels (typically Star Destroyers) would be contacted, and would blindly execute a micro-hyperspace jump straight into the Interdictor's gravity wells, yanking them out of hyperspace and near an enemy vessel. Much quicker than subspace movements, the Thrawn pincer allowed reinforcements to be swiftly deployed on the battlefield and afforded a considerable element of surprise.

Interdictors also took some moments to activate their projectors after arriving from hyperspace, and once activated, the massive simulated mass they created made the ship very cumbersome to maneuver. There was rarely enough time for an entire fleet to make the jump to hyperspace before a newly-arrived Interdictor activated its projectors, but if a fast ship such as a starfighter could avoid enemy tractor beams, it could often escape to the edge of an active gravity well, and then escape.

The gravity wells were also a large drain on the ship’s energy reserves. This flaw was used on several occasions. When enemy ships were able to inflict significant damage to the Interdictor, the captain was forced to choose between entrapment of the enemy and his ship’s own protection. This also augmented the Interdictor's shortcomings, as they were poorly protected and armed for their size. Enemy forces could send a smaller starship, such as a Nebulon-B Escort Frigate or Thranta-class War Cruiser to weaken an Immobilizer's defenses.

Gravity wells attract space debris, and a cruiser with powered gravity wells can suffer external damage from larger pieces of such hazards. While most damage is minor it is one reason Interdictors require more maintenance than many other fleet vehicles. Due to their importance and weaknesses, Immobilizer 418 were usually found on the periphery of the battle they were affecting, dependent on better equipped capital ships and starfighters to deliver the necessary damage.

Armament:
36 Turbolaser cannons
36 Heavy ion cannons
6 Tractor beam projectors

Details:
The MC80 Home One type Star Cruiser was one of the several MC80 Star Cruiser designs built by the Mon Calamari. Originally fielded before the Galactic Civil War as civilian vessels, they were modified by the Rebel Alliance, and served in command ship and battleship roles in the Alliance Fleet.

Although the most common MC80 subclass was the MC80 Liberty type Star Cruiser, the Home One type was perhaps the most famous of all Rebel capital ship designs, as it was the class of the Home One and the Independence, which served as Admiral Ackbar's flagships in many famous battles.

The Home Ones had more armor and armaments than the Liberty type, and were subsequently more rare. Standard armament for the subclass included 36 turbolasers, 36 heavy ion cannons and six tractor beam projectors. Home One types lacked the Executor's point defense laser systems because their turbolaser's tracking systems were sufficient in targeting and destroying smaller craft and starfighters. Their turbolasers although seldomly used are also capable of planetary bombardment.

Home One is known to have carried heavy hull armor and powerful shields, comparable to an Imperial-class Star Destroyer, but she is said to have carried the heaviest armor and weaponry of any ship at the Battle of Endor, which means the other ships of the subclass were relatively less well-protected.

During the climactic Battle of Endor, most of the Alliance's naval resources were gathered into their offensive fleet, and the Home Ones added their firepower to the effort, being the largest Rebel capital ships used in the engagement. The Independence served as communications ship, while the Defiance was placed in the rearguard, and Ackbar used the Home One as his fleet command ship. It appears that General Crix Madine also commanded a division of the fleet from a ship of the same type, possibly the Independence. At least one cruiser of the type was destroyed during the battle, however, as the second victim of the second Death Star's superlaser. In the aftermath of Endor, the Defiance was used to hunt down rogue Imperial elements.

668 Officers
4,734 Enlisted

Armament:
48 Turbolasers
20 Ion batteries
6 Tractor beam projectors

Details:
Like most Mon Calamari designs, each vessel was individually unique, which was frustrating for Rebel technicians. As with other Calamari designs during the Galactic Civil War, all warships in this group were standardized as much as possible to aid non-Calamari crewmembers, something the artistic Mon Calamari accepted begrudgingly. A common variant of the MC80 Star Cruiser line was exemplified by the cruiser Liberty. It had an array of nine engines, divided into three different sizes, located at the stern. A large wing-shaped superstructure was affixed to the main hull on either side, containing weapons pods and tractor beam arrays.

Blisters filled with turbolaser cannons, deflector shield projectors, tractor beam projectors and Ion Cannons were scattered throughout each vessel, many of which were located on the wing structures. The Turbolasers and the Ion cannons possessed advanced targeting systems and were able to track and destroy fighters and smaller craft.

While their armaments, which varied from ship to ship, were less than those found on the Galactic Empire's mile-long Star Destroyers, their shielding capability was far more advanced. The multiple backup shields and multiple shield generators ensured that a Calamarian cruiser could last in combat against more heavily armed opponents. The entry of the Mon Calamari into the Alliance ensured that the undergunned and outnumbered Rebel fleet would possess the firepower to deal with Imperial-class Star Destroyers, and when grouped, even heavier combatants. This was shown during the climactic Battle of Endor, when a flotilla of Mon Calamari ships attacked the massive command ship Executor and brought down its shields.

12 Taim & Bak XI7 turbolasers
12 Borstel RH8 laser cannons
2 Phylon Q7 tractor beam projectors

Details:
The EF76 was introduced some months after the Clone Wars, long before the formal establishment of the Alliance to Restore the Republic. It largely phased out the Class-C frigate. The Nebulon-B was originally designed to defend Imperial convoys against raids by Rebel starfighters. The Imperial Navy was loath to relegate its expensive Imperial Star Destroyer to escort duty, while the Corellian Corvettes were too weak and carried few if any TIE Fighters.

The EF76 was used extensively by both sides in the Galactic Civil War. The frigate was known and respected for its efficiency against fighters and bombers, and its anti-fighter assignment in Imperial convoys had an immediate impact, causing the Rebels to reconsider their hyperspace raids after suffering irreplaceable losses in fighters and pilots. They were also often used to support larger capital ships, such as Imperial-class Star Destroyers and Rebel Mon Calamari Star Cruisers.

In their starfleets, Imperial Admirals Thrawn and Zaarin often used Nebulon-B frigates as command ships in lieu of the standard Star Destroyer. The Rebel Alliance also acquired a number of these ships through defection, capturing them in battle, or by outright theft. The Rebels were not the only ones beyond the Empire to acquire Nebulon-B frigates. It was rumored that Kuat Drive Yards would sell the frigates to interested third parties through secret fronts so as not to upset the Imperial Navy. The sale price was 19,400,000 credits, cited as a twentieth the cost of an Imperial-class Star Destroyer.

The Rebels were able to find other uses for the ships which took advantage of their sophisticated sensors and deep-space multifrequency antennas. Escort frigates were used as long-range scouts, search and rescue ships, or to relay information to command ships during battle. In small, shorthanded, Rebel task forces, Nebulon-B frigates often served as the command ship.

In at least one case, EF76's were converted into medical frigates. In 3 ABY, it was onboard the EF76 frigate Redemption that Luke Skywalker received a mechanical hand after he had lost his natural one while dueling with Darth Vader on Bespin. There and then, Lando Calrissian and Chewbacca departed aboard the Millennium Falcon to commence their quest for the abducted and carbonite-frozen Han Solo.

All available Rebel Nebulon-B frigates were deployed at the Battle of Endor, where they took pivotal part in the battle.

Length: 150 meters
Maximum acceleration: 2,100 G

Armament:
2 Taim & Bak H9 dual turbolasers

Details:
The CR90 corvette, commonly referred to as the Corellian corvette or the Rebel blockade runner, was a small, multi-purpose capital ship manufactured by Corellian Engineering Corporation.

The CR90 had a wide variety of users throughout the galaxy, from pirates to corporations to galactic navies, and had a known operational life from at least as early as 52 BBY to as late as 137 ABY. It possessed the same legendary adaptability as other CEC products, which allowed it to serve in roles as mundane as freight hauling or as a high-profile diplomatic escort.

A versatile starship, the CR90 was used extensively across the galaxy by governments and private interests. The interior of the CR90 featured a modular design to allow for easy reconfiguration of the Corellian corvette from one function to another. Some older model corvettes, like the CR70, could easily be upgraded with retrofit packages like the Vanguard c20 to become CR90s.

The weapon systems varied, although the standard configuration mounted two Taim & Bak H9 dual turbolasers and four single turbolasers. CR90 corvettes could carry as many as eight turbolasers, six laser cannons, and four ion cannons. Under the standard configuration, these turrets were unable to hit anything directly behind the corvette's engines, so CR90 corvettes featured a well-known axial blind spot.

It would probably take an entire officer's week shift to do that. Also keep up the good work. Why not do a list of the clone commando's?
