Original idea goes to Legion 2.5, who inspired me to create this thread.
Clone Troopers: Armament:
DC-15A blaster rifle or DC-15S blaster carbine
History: Clone Wars
Clone troopers were an army of identical, genetically-modified clones, created to serve in the Grand Army of the Republic during the conflict that came to be known as the Clone Wars. Cloned and raised in the cities of Kamino, the clone troopers, trained and drilled since birth, and came to be regarded as one of the most efficient military forces ever to have existed in galactic history.
This was not only due to their training, but also to their unwavering loyalty to the Galactic Republic and its leader, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. After a series of stringent tests, Tyranus (Dooku) selected the famed Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett to serve as the army's genetic template.
When Order 66 was finally initiated during the end of the Clone Wars, the clones displayed their unwavering loyalty to the Republic by quickly executing their Jedi leaders with cold-blooded efficiency. Every clone had their own reaction to the order. Some thought of it as just another executive order to carry out, but many more were genuinely shocked and even uncertain as to why they had been ordered to turn on the Jedi, but, nonetheless, nearly all of the clones followed the order and turned on their Jedi officers.
Advanced Recon Commandos (ARC Troopers) Armament:
DC-17 hand blaster
Miniature flamethrower
WESTAR-M5 blaster rifle
DC-15 blaster rifle
History: Clone Wars
Advanced Recon Commandos—also known as Advanced Recon Clone troopers or simply ARC troopers—were an elite variant of clone trooper in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Although less numerous than the other clones, they were among the most skilled soldiers in the galaxy.
Two months after the Battle of Geonosis, a Confederacy assault on Kamino prompted their early activation. As droid detachments closed in on Tipoca City, Prime Minister Lama Su activated the Advanced Recon Commandos and authorized their deployment to hot-spots across Kamino in a last-ditch effort to save the planet's precious cloning facilities. The ARCs worked with a force of Jedi to repel the droid forces.
Following the First Battle of Kamino, the ARCs were integrated into the Grand Army of the Republic. As the ARCs took their place in the larger world, they developed distinct personalities due to their unaltered nature; some gave themselves names, others formed relationships outside the GAR. Once integrated, Advanced Recon Commandos worked as solo operatives or in small squads led by ARC captains, either performing self-contained missions or supplementing larger Grand Army of the Republic operations. It is possible that they trained ordinary clone troopers in ARC techniques and commanded them in squads; due to the limited number of ARCs, it is unlikely that the teams would be comprised only of them. One notable exception was the aftermath of the Battle of Hypori, where a twenty-man ARC trooper team under the leadership of Captain Fordo engaged General Grievous in combat.
After the Clone Wars, all surviving ARCs were offered either retirement or the option to train their successors, the stormtroopers, passing on their combat experience. These new ARC troopers were also rumored to have undergone intensive deep core programming. Some even defected to the Alliance to Restore the Republic while others went rogue, following in Jango Fett's footsteps by becoming bounty hunters and assassins.
Clone Assassin: Armament:
Twin vibro-blades
Blaster Pistol
Clone assassins were a specialized class of clone troopers created by the Kaminoan cloners on the planet of Kamino. These troopers were commissioned by Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, through a special order during the Clone Wars. The assassins were trained specifically to eliminate Jedi by utilizing Teräs Käsi, a form of unarmed combat. Through training duels with Padawans of the Jedi Order, the clones developed greatly enhanced speed as well as an aptitude for anticipating strikes and the ability to resist Jedi mind tricks.
A squad of clone assassins could easily defeat a Jedi Knight though were not a true match for a Jedi Master. In addition to their unarmed combat, the assassins were also familiar with the use of blaster technology and carried blaster pistols on their persons. They were used to assist in the cleansing of the Jedi Temple and, later, to defend the temple beacon room from Jedi.

Clone commandos:
DC-17m Interchangeable Weapon Systems
Katarn commando armor
E-webs
Accelerated Charged Particle Repeater Guns
Accelerated Charged Particle Array Guns
Improvised explosive devices
Bore bangs
Flash-bang grenades

And more...
History: Clone Wars
The Kaminoans believed the Alpha ARCs would be just as rogue as the "failed" Null-class ARC troopers, so they proposed another idea. They requested a battalion of elite commandos be created from the regular clone trooper genome template. These clones would be more loyal and obedient than the ARC's but more independent to their more common brethren; this would allow them to handle more delicate missions that had a broad objective. The commandos could devise their own ways of completing it. The commandos would be placed into squads (nicknamed "pods") of four commandos each.
Throughout the Clone Wars, there were many different opinions regarding the commandos. Some clones tended to respect the commandos for their superb training and combat skills while other clones, especially the infantry-based units that fought in the larger battles of the war, believed that the commandos' reputation was grossly exaggerated.
he commandos were heavily armed. They had at their disposal an impressive arsenal of blasters, sniper rifles, and anti-armor launchers, all part of the configurable DC-17m Interchangeable Weapon System. They also carried either DC-15s side arm blasters, or shotguns. Wearing advanced Katarn commando armor, clone commandos were the ultimate soldiers. Because the armor was silvery-gray, the other clone troops called them "shiny boys". However, some squads would put special colors on their armor, or a number of dots on the left breast armor pad to symbolize rank and position in the hierarchy of the squad. The most notable Clone Commando unit would be Delta Squad.
Clone blaze trooper: Armament:
Heavy jet packs.
Dual wrist-mounted flamethrowers.
History: Clone Wars
Heavily armored and jet-propelled, the blaze troopers were hulking figures in their armor, which appeared similar to that later worn by the Imperial spacetroopers.
They were tasked with 'blazing' through enemy lines and clearing accumulated battlefield debris out of the way of advancing infantry, using their wrist-embedded flamethrowers.
edit History
These troopers served on battlefronts such as Rhen Var, Mygeeto, Utapau, and Coruscant during the Clone Wars. These clone troopers carried flamethrowers that they used to disperse crowds of enemies. A number of Blaze troopers were also deployed in the Jedi Temple during Operation: Knightfall where they fought against Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda.
Clone Jet Troopers: Armament:
EMP launcher
DC-17 hand blaster
Thermal detonators
History: Clone Wars
Two different types of jet trooper armors were in use during the Clone Wars. The first wore standard Phase I clone trooper armor with the addition of a JT-12 jetpack, while the second, and presumably later model, wore sleek, sealed armor for greater aerodynamics and an improved jetpack to operate in higher altitudes. However, the armor had less protection against enemy attacks. The Kaminoan resistance to the Galactic Empire utilized jet troopers as their primary infantry, but carried DC-15x sniper rifles as one of their primary weapons.
Clone Commander Cody wore a jetpack not dissimilar to those worn by the Phase II jet troopers, and for this reason he was sometimes known as the 'Jetpack Commander'. Commander Cody commanded them during the clone wars, Cody used the jetpack while on an unidentified planet attempting to attack a shielded city. Cody had been on this planet for three months attacking the shield until Anakin found a hidden tunnel under the shielded city. Anakin and Obi-Wan knocked out the shield generator thus allowing Cody, a squad of jet troopers, and many AT-RTs to storm the city and win the battle.
Standard clone troopers were known to have used jetpacks during certain missions. During the Battle of Christophsis, jetpack-wearing clones were led into the battle by Captain Rex, aiding General Anakin Skywalker. During the battle, they fought against Octuptarra combat tri-droids. A small unit of clones, including Rex and Denal, utilized jetpacks during the mission to Skytop Station.

Clone cold assault trooper:
Same as Clone Troopers
History: Clone Wars
Clone cold assault troopers were a specialized division of clone troopers within the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars and during the first years of the Galactic Empire. A legion of these clones was led by Commander Keller.
As the name indicates, cold assault troopers were specially trained for battle and survival in extremely cold regions. Their specialized armor was specifically designed for protection to the wearer in extremely low temperatures and to allow for effective operations within this environment.
The Phase II variant was one of the prototypes for the armor eventually worn by Imperial snowtroopers. Its design was similar to a type of armor worn by members of the Galactic Marines.
The transmission of Order 66 and the establishment of the Galactic Empire reached Keller's cold assault troopers when stationed on the frozen world of Toola, in the Outer Rim Territories. They were tasked with tracking down the fugitive Jedi heading for Ithaqua Station. The Jedi rode on STAPs to flee their pursuit, while Keller and his men used local beasts of burden as mounts to navigate the frozen plains to fulfill their mission.
Clone Paratrooper: History: Clone Wars
They wore specialized armor, breathing equipment, and repulsorlift harnesses to help them survive these airdrops. Paratroopers used DC-15 blaster rifles and DC-15 blasters, plus an assortment of thermal detonators and other grenades. The indentation in the front of their helmets helped regulate the airflow as they were dropping into battle. They were also known to act as medics in battle. They might have carried bacta in battles. The clone paratroopers were significant because a gunship did not have to land to get troops on the battlefield. Also, they could ambush and flank the droids from the back. These troops were deadly if used accurately.
These airborne troopers were developed at some point during the Clone Wars and served within the Grand Army of the Republic. At the time, they were involved in fighting against the Separatist Droid Army. In the final days of the Clone Wars, the 212th Attack Battalion deployed clone airborne troopers on the planet Utapau during a battle when General Grievous's base was discovered on that planetoid.
Imperial Stormtroopers: Armament:
E-11 Blaster rifle.
SE-14r sidearm.
DLT-19 heavy blaster rifle.
History: Galactic Civil War
Stormtroopers were the elite shock troopers of the Galactic Empire. Like Imperial-class Star Destroyers and TIE Fighters, stormtroopers served as ever present reminders of the Emperor's power, extensions of his will, and a method of keeping the Empire's thousands of star systems in line through fear.
Formed into the Stormtrooper Corps, stormtroopers operated alongside Imperial Army and Navy units independently, while some placed on Navy ships were given the name "marines." The first stormtroopers were clone troopers that survived the Clone Wars. Renamed by Palpatine's Declaration of a New Order, these clones of Jango Fett were immediately supplemented by three new stormtrooper clone batches grown in the Outer Rim Territories after the Battle of Kamino in 12 BBY. Lacking the guidance of the Jedi Generals, stormtroopers were "cut loose" to brutally enforce the new Imperial doctrine, quickly building a reputation as numerous, destructive, and merciless soldiers.
For twenty-three years, the stormtroopers suffered few known large scale defeats; that changed at the Battle of Endor. An entire legion of stormtroopers, supported by AT-STs suffered an unexpected and embarrassing defeat. Despite superior numbers, advanced weapons, and superb training, they were defeated by a small Rebel Alliance force and Ewoks, small and seemingly insignificant natives of Endor that Palpatine naturally overlooked as less than a minor threat.

Force-sensitive stormtroopers
Lightsaber
History: Galactic Civil War
The Force-sensitive stormtroopers were a group of stormtroopers created via cloning from the DNA of former Emperor's Hand Sa Cuis. Their creation was the brainchild of Darth Vader, who witnessing Cuis' unquestioning loyalty to the Emperor, sought to create stormtroopers who displayed that same sort of loyalty. However, he ultimately came to consider them too dangerous, his viewpoint proven when they developed loyalty towards the rebel Emperor's Hand who trained them, rather than the Emperor himself.
Force-sensitive stormtroopers were trained in lightsaber combat by another Hand, Sheyvan, who later used them to mount a revolt against Emperor Palpatine while aboard a Lambda-class shuttle. Despite their training, they were killed by Darth Vader. Palpatine considered ordering more, but Darth Vader disagreed and thought that they were too dangerous.
In 3 BBY, militiamen who had taken over an Imperial shipyard above Nar Shaddaa recognized the lightsaber-wielding figure of Starkiller as "some kind of shadow trooper."
More than a decade later, after the fall of the Empire proper, the Empire Reborn faction under Lord Hethrir, launched a project to create Force-sensitive stormtroopers under the name "shadowtroopers."
The project was headed by Dark Jedi Desann and Admiral Galak Fyyar. Empire Youths imbued with the dark side of the Force through Artusian crystals, the shadowtroopers didn't wear standard stormtrooper armor but a specialized black suit of armor unique to their rank.
Dark troopers: History: Galactic Civil War
The dark troopers were advanced battle droids and infantry exoskeletons that featured heavy plating that resembled the armor of a stormtrooper, powerful weapons, and jumppacks for increased flexibility and tactical advantage.
Besides the Phase Zero prototypes, they came in three versions: the Phase I dark trooper was a skeletal droid armed simply with a vibro-blade and physical shield, primarily a testbed for the later stages; the Phase II dark trooper, which featured, in addition, the external elements; and the Phase III dark trooper, which was the main unit and was never fully developed. Only three Phase III prototypes were on board Arc Hammer. One of these was used by the originator of the project, General Rom Mohc. It was a more powerful variant of the Phase II model and was able to be worn as a battle exosuit.
The first iteration of the project came years before the Battle of Yavin. Stationed aboard the Empirical research station and using most of the same technology that had been used to transform Anakin Skywalker into Darth Vader, the Empire started building clone trooper veterans into gruesome cyborgs, the so called Phase Zero Dark Troopers. As the Empire started to become less dependent on its clone troopers, the Phase Zero project declined and was eventually shut down, but the efficiency of the cybernetic soldiers had become apparent to most, including the man overseeing the space station: a young Imperial officer called Rom Mohc.
Years later, the Dark Trooper Project was finally greenlighted. The main goal for the dark trooper project was to create the next evolution of the stormtrooper. It consisted of the armor and the application of weaponry so it was intended for use with the basic stormtrooper (clone and the like) but looking forward to whatever internal system that might be developed. The dark troopers were first used against the Rebel Tak Base in the Battle of Talay, in retaliation for the destruction of the first Death Star. They slaughtered all the Rebels in the base. Concerned about the potential threat of the dark troopers, Mon Mothma tasked Kyle Katarn with the program's destruction.
Aquatic assault stormtrooper: Many of the standard technologies employed by the Imperial military were modified for aquatic use, including specialized aquatic garrisons, custom TIE fighter boats, and powerful AT-AT swimmers. The armor of the seatrooper was based on the lightweight scout trooper design. It was worn over a two-piece environmental body glove that provides protection from uncomfortable temperature extremes, or toxic-water environments.
Designed specifically for engagements on Dac and Tibrin, the seatrooper's armor was pressure-sealed to a maximum of ten atmospheres and included a rebreather that allowed to stay underwater for more than a hour. The armor was more flexible than standard stormtrooper designs, preserving and even increasing a trooper's underwater dexterity. Supplementing a soldier's swimming skills are a back-mounted propulsion unit, and a pair of propulsion boots with snap-down flippers. Since blaster ranges are often adversely affected by underwater use, the seatroopers carried a blaster rifle/speargun hybrid as a standard weapon.
The standard seatrooper utility belt includes high-tension wire, grappling hooks, spare blaster power packs, ion flares, concentrated rations, spare comlink, medpacs, rebreather filters, and a compressed air inflatable bubble tent.

Shadowtrooper
Lightsaber
History: Post-Galactic Civil War
Shadowtroopers were armed with lightsabers powered by synthetic Sith crystals and wore fitted Shadow armor made with cortosis. An Artusian crystal was embedded in the armor's chest plate to enhance the power granted from the valley.
Shadow armor also had limited optical stealth capabilities, similar to an Imperial Saboteur, although a translucent bluish silhouette was visible when the trooper moved. Their artificial empowering of the Force enabled them to use the basics of Force Grip and Force lightning, but not to a very high standard, and saber combat was their preferred choice. Unlike the Reborn warriors, shadowtroopers did not taunt their enemies, preferring instead to remain quiet and concentrate on physical combat. The shadowtroopers were competent duelists, possessing more skill than their Reborn counterparts. This allowed them to put up better fights against Jedi.
The project behind the shadowtroopers was based at the abandoned Imperial listening outpost on Kejim and Fyyar's flagship, Doomgiver. Desann had experimented with imbuing Empire Youths, who had little potential in the Force, with dark side powers.
Shadowtroopers met their masters' expectations to the extent that some stormtroopers resented them, fearing they would soon be replaced. Shadowtroopers were first deployed in the Cairn Installation against Kyle Katarn. Several others were stationed on Doomgiver to protect the ship.
Scout trooper: Armament:
E-11s sniper rifle (Scout trooper snipers only)
Blaster pistol (Standard issue weapon)
History: Galactic Civil War
Scout troopers wore specially modified lightweight armor with greater flexibility than standard stormtrooper armor, and often used light repulsorlift vehicles, such as the 74-Z speeder bike, in the course of their duties, earning them the nickname "biker scouts". Scout troopers operated in groups of two or four, called lancers and were led by a sergeant.
Due to their light weapon loadouts, scout troopers rarely engaged in heavy combat and instead focused more on surveying areas, finding enemy positions and on some occasions, infiltrating enemy lines and performing sabotage missions. They were ordered to retreat in the event of possible combat situations and alert regular stormtroopers.
Snowtrooper: Armament:
E-11 blaster
SE-14R light repeating blasters
2 Concussion grenades
1 Frag grenade
History: Galactic Civil War
Snowtroopers, also known as cold assault stormtroopers, were Imperial stormtroopers trained to operate in arctic climates. Some snowtroopers were deployed under Death Squadron's Blizzard Force, as well as other arctic forces.
The snowtroopers were the successors of the clone cold assault troopers and the Galactic Marines under Clone Commanders Keller and Bacara, respectively, during the Clone Wars. One of the first missions involving the Snowtroopers was the surprise Imperial assault on the Rebel founders on Corellia. Darth Vader had tracked his Sith apprentice Galen Marek to the planet, in a secret plot to both capture the would-be founders of the rebellion and destroy Marek. Snowtroopers stormed the shelter atop the snowy mountain, quickly wiping out Kota's guards.
Snowtroopers were utilized on many different icy worlds, including the Imperial garrison on the planet Akuria II. Their most notable conquest was at the Battle of Hoth, where the Imperial Blizzard Force defeated the forces of the Alliance to Restore the Republic and overran Echo Base.

Novatrooper
Regular Stormtrooper weapons.
History: Galactic Civil War
Novatroopers were stormtrooper honor guards, who wore distinctive black and gold reinforced stormtrooper armor.
As stormtrooper honor guards, Novatroopers were assigned to either historically significant locations such as the Sith burial grounds, or to guard captured enemy starships. Also used as commandos in special missions, such as infiltrating enemy bases, Novatroopers were trained better than most stormtroopers, though their equipment was the same.
Shadow stormtrooper: History: Galactic Civil War
The shadow troopers were an elite squadron within the Imperial stormtroopers who were assigned an experimental cloaking armor. This allowed them to disappear in virtually any environment. These soldiers were trained to use their advanced technology to ambush their enemies who they often surrounded before they were capable of defending themselves. They typically acted as reserve units that backed up standard stormtrooper squadrons and only appeared when a battle turned against the Empire.
During such conditions, stormtrooper commanders often called the shadow troopers to provide them with reinforcements. In addition to their cloaking devices, the armor was laced with durasteel fibers which made them more resistant to physical as well as energy attacks when compared to standard stormtrooper armor.
The Emperor's Shadow Guard often made use of shadow stormtroopers during their missions. Variants of the design were a dark trooper version as well as an EVO trooper version.
Their most distinguishing feature was their all-black armor—a stark contrast to the typical white armor common to other stormtroopers. This unique black armor provided some stealth benefits, which resulted from the stygian-triprismatic polymer material used in the production of the armor. Lord Blackhole also incorporated meltmassif into his shadow stormtroopers for use when he would disable them. Shadow stormtroopers also carried cloaking devices that rendered them invisible for a short period of time.
TIE pilots History: Galactic Civil War
At the height of the Galactic Empire, the Imperial Navy had countless Academy graduates and clones at its disposal. During the time of the Imperial Remnant and the reign of a reborn Emperor Palpatine, the Empire was forced to be conservative with the lives of the TIE pilots due to their decreasing numbers, and unmanned TIE/D automated starfighters were used as support craft for living pilots.
They were referred to as "bucketheads" by Rebel pilots, due to their bulky, fully enclosed helmets. Within the Imperial forces they were often referred to as "coffin jockeys", due to the high mortality rate of those manning the vulnerable TIE fighters.
They represented the elite of the Imperial Navy, having undergone grueling physical and psychological conditioning to achieve their ranks. An elite corps, only 10 percent of TIE pilots successfully navigated the intense training and testing of the Imperial Navy. The rest were reassigned throughout the Navy as combat gunners, crewmen, and other personnel.
Drawing from the graduates of Imperial academies, the fleet conditioned their best prospects to be fanatically loyal to the Emperor and willing to sacrifice their lives to complete their assigned missions.

And, to end it off with some more clones!
Clone flame trooper: Armament:
Flamethrower
History: Clone Wars
The Flame troopers were a special branch of clone troopers that specialized in the use of heavy Republic flamethrowers as well as other incendiary weapons. Flame troopers wore specialized armor designed to counter heat that they were often in. They were present during the Second Battle of Geonosis. Their successors were the Imperial Incinerator troopers.
During the Second Battle of Geonosis, a squad of clone troopers and flame troopers led by Jedi General Ki-Adi-Mundi were trapped in a cave "detour" that Mundi had chosen on their way to a landing zone. Inside, they were confronted by thirty-odd Geonosian warriors, but the flame troopers were able to hold the warriors off with their flamethrowers long enough for Mundi and the other clone troopers to disable the entire group. They were successful in reaching the landing zone with light casualties.
Did you know?
Strangely the armor worn by flame troopers have the same design of the armor of Clone cold assault trooper. Considering the environmental extremes, this armor probably altered to help protect the wearer from heat instead of the cold.
Clone sharpshooters Armament:
DC-15x sniper rifles
(Unknown Sniper for clones in Phase II armor)
DC-15s side arm blasters
Autoturrets
thermal detonators
R-1 recon droids
History: Clone Wars
Unlike the snipers in the traditional army, culled from the best shooters, all clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic possessed the same eyesight, accuracy, steadiness and patience. However, the sharpshooters received special flash training teaching them the intricacies of being good snipers. A Phase II clone sniper of the 501st Legion during the Raid on the Jedi Temple.
Their main mission designation was to eliminate Separatist battle droid infantry from a distance to provide cover fire for other infantry units, while also using their recon droids to carry out short-range reconnaissance. Specialized gear with distinctive color-markings showed the sharpshooters' ranks. Phase I clone snipers are recognizable by maroon armor markings.
Clone engineer History: Clone Wars
The clone engineers were members of special Combat Engineer Battalions in the Grand Army of the Republic that were well versed in a range of engineering techniques, from repairing vehicles to performing demolitions work.
On Kamino some clones were randomly chosen to become engineers and became attuned to their vehicles and idiosyncrasies. On the battlefield they were assigned to heavy artillery units, such as Heavy Assault Vehicle/wheeled A6 Juggernauts and SPHA units for armored ground assault.
Clone engineers were equipped with dispensers that held bacta and ammunition and F-187 fusioncutters that enabled them to repair vehicles, turrets, medical and power droids. They were armed with detonation packs for sabotage and shotguns, or blaster pistols in case they had to engage enemy units.
When clones still had phase I armor the engineers were just clone pilots that did all the jobs of an engineer. The Engineers were equiped with shotguns for a primary weapon. They could also dispense bacta health.

Sith troopers History:
Sith troopers, otherwise known as Sith soldiers, Sith assault troopers, or Sith commandos were the foot soldiers of the Sith Empire during the Jedi Civil War, the main infantry of the Sith Triumvirate during the Dark Wars, and basic soldiers of the Sith Empire during the Great Galactic War. Their distinctive armor and skills would set them apart from other military forces of the time, as would their often sadistic natures. The Sith armor also obscured their faces, this dehumanization struck fear into the heart of their masters' enemies. Also, the faceless appearance symbolized the soldier becoming another faceless extension of the Sith.
he majority of Sith troopers of Darth Revan's returning armada were traitorous of the Republic Army's, who would later be joined by idealistic volunteers from conquered worlds. The weak would be siphoned out through the merciless Sith training schemes, resulting in an efficient and powerful fighting force. The fear present in each trooper not only spurred them on in battle, but also prevented them from turning traitor for a second time.
Some Sith troopers used the fear they imposed in people and the influence they gained from the suit for their own gain, threatening people and bullying citizens into giving them what they wanted. Others, however, saw themselves as simply doing their job, or believed that the Sith would be better at ruling the galaxy.
Following the Jedi Civil War, many of the now master-less Sith troopers came under the command of the newly formed Sith Triumvirate ruled by Darth Traya, Darth Nihilus, and Darth Sion. At that time, they participated in the Second Battle of Onderon and the Battle of Telos IV.
Sith troopers were often seen as expendable by their superiors, much like battle droids. For example, when Darth Malak was warned by Saul Karath that bombarding the planet of Taris in order to kill Bastila Shan would result in the deaths of thousands of the Sith's own soldiers, he merely warned Karath against the perils of questioning his orders.
Sometime after this time period, the Sith Empire emerged once more and made use of Sith troopers in its army during the Great Galactic War. These soldiers participated in the Sacking of Coruscant on behalf of their Sith masters which forced the signing of the Treaty of Coruscant. At the time, they were also involved in the Invasion of the Jedi Temple where they accompanied a strike force of Sith Lords that penetrated the Jedi Temple where they massacred the occupants within. After storming the capital of Coruscant, the Sith troopers retreated back to their empire leading to a Cold War between them and the Republic.
Sith troopers were still in use three millennia after the Jedi Civil War during the New Sith Wars in the time of Darth Bane. Little is known about the troopers of this latter period or how much they resembled their predecessors.
An army of Sith troopers frozen in Carbonite was discovered by the Nightsister Silri shortly after the Battle of Endor, using a Holocron stolen by the crime lord Tyber Zann.
