Sadly I must announce that today I've done almost nothing, except excessively browsing [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page] "Wookieepedia", and came to the utmost surprise in finding out that the nimbus-class "V-wing" [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Alpha-3_ ... tarfighter] is an interceptor, not, in fact, a bomber, and happily learned it could take the place of the Eta-2 jedi interceptor (clones flying jedi craft just doesn't sit well with me) . However, that brought up the other question of what kind of fighter would take the role of the bomber? I personally know a common choice would be the BLT-B "Y-wing" [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/BTL-B_Y-wing_starfighter], but, to be honest, I think it looks out of place and a little on the stupid side. I was wondering if anyone else had Ideas?

The V-Wing's not a bomber? I don't believe it.

When you look at the way the ship is built, it makes sense. It's significantly more slim than the standard star wars bomber.

The V-Wing is a versatile ship so it could be used for bombing but I was fairly sure it was primarily used for small attacks and breaking through lines (as it is small in size).

apparently not, the only "cannon" armaments seemed to be medium lasers right interior to the wings.

I mean when they put it in BFII, it was the bomber. It should just have been a regular fighter?

Yea, in bf2 the v-wing was a bomber...
maybe wookiepedia is wrong for once....?

The regular fighter would have rockets, so it would be the Jedi starfighter.

It's an interceptor, in other words, a fast fighter, so knowing pandemic they would probably but missles on it.
