What do you guys want for Christmas?

I'm always lusting after new big toys (Les Paul Traditional is somewhere in my future) but realistically I don't even know. I'll just be glad to be done exams.

nemeny why do you want a ps3 so late in the console life? You might as well wait for the PS4.

I could go to replace my Launch model 80GB. We still don't know when the PS4 is going to be released... or even announced. On top of that, we don't know of they'll pull the same stunt they did with the PS3 and not allow backwards compatibility - unless you want to buy all your games (or whatever games they feel like releasing) a second time off PSN.

Thats somewhat a legit excuse but are you honestly going to play all your old games? I havent touched my ps2 for almost two years and ive had my ps3 for 2 1/2 years. If memory is what you want cant you just replace your hard drive?

Dunno about you, but I still play most of my games dating back to PS1, so yes - being able to play my older stuff is important to me. Having it all on one system so I don't have to unplug things and move stuff around would be great.

If the PS4 - whenever it comes out - has no support for PS3 and older games, I've got no reason to buy one until maybe a year or two later when it's actually got a decent lineup of games. And is maybe a few bucks cheaper.

I see your point though I dont really play old games since I have to disconnect my ps3 to play my ps2 and I dont have the time to play old games and the newer titles. Still I would think buying another ps3 and then a ps4 would be more costly than simply waiting for a ps4 ( which should be announced at E3 and released around the holidays(maybe))

My wife bought us a PS3 with her bonus she got this year. First console system (besides the Wii) that I've owned in years.
