Hey, do PC mods add anything special or are they not worth shelling out for another copy of Battlefront?

All depends on the mod and the people behind them. Some just add a new map, a new troop skin, or some relatively small change or addition. Others can entirely reshape the game. I think Battlefront has more than enough good user-generated content floating around to warrant a second PC purchase.
