So yeah like the title say's, this guy is going to completely start off from scratch once again to create a much better project than his previous one. At the moment he is trying to raise $4,000 to start off on his work and someone is already going to be donating $500 which is a good chunk of what he needs. I just wanted to post this here so he gets a bit more attention considering not too many people visit his blog anymore anyway go check it out if you like.

The site does have a downloadable pre-alpha.

I just checked out his videos. Besides the awful level design it looks pretty good.

I'm pretty sure he wasn't talking about the aesthetics. Those are fine.
The Christophsis map is just a big letter 'H' with your guys on one end, and the enemy at the other. There's no way to go about actually capturing the enemy posts short of just strong-arming your way through, so the whole thing is just a big tug of war where you'll only benefit from using the heavy-hitting infantry or tanks; not much room for support roles. That was even a problem with the actual Battlefront games.
Even for a deathmatch mode it's still pretty lacking since it's just a big flat series of corridors that railroad you into a central killzone. There's no room to actually explore, outflank, surround, or evade enemies, or have the playing field shift in any way. You just spawn, line up with the rest of your guys, shoot, die, respawn, and do it all again until somebody wins.

The Pre-Alpha isn't even downloadable anymore. A shame. At least I still have Battlefront 2 on my PC to hold me over I suppose.
