I wouldn't mind a reboot of the series, although I wouldn't quite understand the need for a reboot. The series was fine, but as long as it is a decent star wars game, I'm sold.

I agree. I don't see why. Although, it would be sort of smart to reboot the series because it has been a very long time, and they could start over with the brand new Unreal Engine and other products out on the market now. You never know, tonight could be our night.

Edit on the article: Don't know what to make of those screenshots, they could be part of a Star Wars Episode or brand new Unreal Engine stuff. Who knows? I guess I'll have to wait to find out..

That's exactly what it is. I dont get why people would think otherwise. Anyway, the reveal just happened, Star Wars 1313.

Even if it wasn't 1313, they wouldn't call a reboot a "new franchise." And the images are just shots from Empire. Nothing to do with anything.

Alright, so after watching GTTV here is my synopsis

1. Based on coruscant mainly in section 1313 (hence name) after the prequel trilogy( i know this because on the website they have a shuttle being esscorted by 2 imperial fighters)

2. its a 3rd person action adventure shooter and i theorise that it will be a free roam game because the developers were kinda pushing its openness

3. i beleive it will be based on bobafett because the developers would not release the name of the character, i know its not supportive for oblivious reasons but there have been hints to a game with bobafett in the past few years in which brings me to my next point.

4. like tuggy i belive that this will be a set up to the new underworld tv series, which will follow bounty hunters including bobafett in coruscant's underworld (1313 included). this is supported by hints in the past few interviews including one where when the producer of starwars underworld was asked about 1313 he said that he couldent discuss it but obliviously knew much about it.

Well, it may not be Battlefront, but it looks like we may possibly have a decent Star Wars game for the first time in a while.

It sounds like they are using the same formula to what they did with TFU.

Huh. I put in a fake age (under 18) in the 1313 site and it didn't allow me access. Usually game sites don't do that unless it's an M-rated thing.

If it turns out like my hopes of Grand Theft Auto/Red Dead Redemption in Space, this might actually be pretty friggen neat.

Except it's a linear game ("3rd person cinematic Action Adventure"). That sucks.

I dunno. I'd could still call RDR and GTA "3rd person cinematic Action/Adventure."

Level structure might be a bit different, but if the core mechanics are similar I could picture having some fun with it.

And the game is rated M or 18+ in Europe.
