Bulletstorm

Post by Scott »

Anyone played it before? I just finished the singleplayer about 20 minutes ago.

I thought it was fantastic. The skill shots were fun to pull off, gruesome and often hilariously named. The graphics, sound, and other core elements were all solid.

Besides the wonderfully gruesome gameplay I thought the game was hilarious. The dialogue is laugh out loud funny as long as you can suspend the boredom of maturity while playing. I can't quote a single good line here due to profanity, so you'll have to take my word.

Fantastic game but too short. With a cliffhanger ending and the fact the developer was told my Epic to move onto a different project rather than a sequel, I'm a bit miffed. Great nonetheless.

Duty Calls was better.

That was freakin' awesome. I didn't see the twist coming at all. That line commenting on slow motion got me pretty good.

It is nice to play a shooter that doesn't take itself serious at all. I wonder how many jokes about genatalia are in the prologue alone? Probably double digits.

Have you played Bulletstorm? If so, what are your thoughts on it?

I played the demo of it waaayyyy back when it first came out but for some reason I never actually picked it up. I'll probably get around to it once my next check rolls in. Alongside other games I've been putting off for ages like The Darkness.

As long as you like your violence bloody and humour crude, then I'm sure you'll like it. You liked Duke Nukem somehow after all.
