Insulting people is a logical fallacy. =(Kelevra wrote:Please don't be 'that guy'...
Star Wars is an idea, a set of ideals, not just a brand-logo you can slap on every infant's toy that comes along. Lucas Films may have labeled it with "STAR WARS", but that doesn't make it Star Wars. If it defies the spirit of Star Wars, that is in every true fan, it isn't Star Wars.Kelevra wrote: It is officially licensed by LucasFilm. George Lucas created it, serves as the executive producer, and in many cases, a writer. It bears the golden STAR WARS logo. It is Star Wars, whether you like it or not. Just like the prequel films.
DISCLAIMER: There is no literal spirit of star wars.
Speak for yourself, and the other people who think like you on this subject. How can you claim that "people hae the prequels" and "everyone says Jar Jar ruined it" , without basis? Prove that episode 1 was terrible, and I might believe you. I'd personally like to see you try, because there is no generally accepted "terribleness" measure, that I know of.DarthRevan19 wrote: people hate the prequels because episode 1 was terrible and everyone says Jar Jar ruined it, but Jar Jar is suppose to be in the movie to serve the comedic version just like the OT C3P-0 was the comedic version in it why dont people understand that
I think he is. =PKelevra wrote: Because Jar Jar wasn't funny. At all.
Kelevra wrote: And no, Jar Jar is not the sole thing wrong with The Phantom Menace, and definitely is not the reason I dislike the rest of the prequel films.
I think were getting a little off topic here. =(
