The first thing i want, just like everyone else, is instant land to space travel. They should also include a couple of the really good maps from Battlefronts 1 & 2, but mainly new maps. Or maybe older maps could be DLC. Heroes should definitly be included, but they shouldn't be NEARLY as powerful. Maybe their weapons do less damage and they have less health. That would even out the gameplay a bit. I like the idea of customizing your look, but not your weapons and equipment. That would take away from the whole Battlefront feel. However, if they do the thing where you get a certain number of kills with this gun then you get an upgraded version of that gun, that'd be alright, just let me switch between the two. Also, there should be NO MELEE WHATSOEVER, wether its a one hit kill or just gets people to back off. That would make it feel WAY to much like Call of Duty. Smarter AI would be nice also. In the first 2 games, they had no strategy whatsoever and were very easy to beat. Give me a little challenge! Have them run from a Jedi or Sith instead of just standing there and shooting! I would also like it if when you boarded the enemy capitol ship, it's much bigger and kind of like a smaller map in itself. That would make things more intense. That's about it. Even if they don't include some or none of these suggestions, I'd just be happy if the game was made.

No. Pasting shiny textures over the same old maps after 5+ years would not only be incredibly lazy, but charging extra cash for them and expecting people to actually buy it is friggen atrocious. The sad thing is, people WOULD pay for that sort of trash.Or maybe older maps could be DLC
I feel the opposite is true. Having a small pool of weapons and items to choose from based on your class would be fine. A stormtrooper with pink and orange armor fighting a rebel wearing Boba Fett's helmet would be silly. That would even out the gameplay a bit. I like the idea of customizing your look, but not your weapons and equipment. That would take away from the whole Battlefront feel.

I just thought that some players would want to experience the new game style on some of the maps they already know and love. If someone didn't want it, then they wouldn't buy it. Simple as that.No. Pasting shiny textures over the same old maps after 5+ years would not only be incredibly lazy, but charging extra cash for them and expecting people to actually buy it is friggen atrocious. You took what I said and blew it out of proportion. I meant you would have the option to wear this kind of armor for your faction or this kind of helmet. I agree. What you said would be silly.A stormtrooper with pink and orange armor fighting a rebel wearing Boba Fett's helmet would be silly.

On the note of re-texturing old maps, I think the biggest downfall would be the wasted dev time. Unless BFIII is going to have an incredible amount of new weapons, vehicles, troops, heroes and features, it's not really necessary to take dev time to reskin the old stuff.

i agree but i think you should have different version of the gun for example the clone trooper default gun is a DC-15A blaster rifle and the shorter version is the DC-15s, you should choose whcih gun you want on your class

Personally I'd rather see heroes cut out all together. Or at least only available in certain game modes (Not Campaign or Galactic Conquest). For me Battlefront is about the soldiers not the heroes. Just my opinion.

It's a good plan. I also think that heroes should be kept, but each team must choose who their heroes were. I think instead of just one hero on the battlefield as well, there can be several, although they will be transported by ships. The ships can be destroyed, thus destorying your Jedi, and lowering the odds of domination. Uhhh, this game can be so good.

I don't like player controlled heroes, but jedi are fine. AI heroes are good too.Wevans199 wrote:Personally I'd rather see heroes cut out all together. I think having hero units would be alright if they drastically altered how they work. No more super health/attack bonuses.
They should essentially function just like any other unit, only with a unique kit setup or ability not accessible to normal troops.

I think heroes should also one be allowed to come when you secured a very good CP, and then can hold it. Because it would make no sense to send in a Jedi if they had no safe spot to land. If their were Jedi though, then there should a lot more Sith. I hated being Villians in SBF2 because they had such crappy people, save for General Grievous, Darth Maul, and Anakin...

Yeah Heroes had a lot more options than the Villains did. Heroes had Aayla Secura (who is a hero unit they need tp bring back), etc.Wannahelp1 wrote:I think heroes should also one be allowed to come when you secured a very good CP, and then can hold it. Here's an unorganized, incomplete list of some things we need for the next game...
- Go back to the controls and setup of Battlefront 1 (No custom classes, make it so you can only roll when you crouch to the side, etc.)
- Improve graphics and brightness of maps (which was a problem for both BF1 and BF2), along with cutscenes (make them TFU1/TFU2-good)
- New Eras (Knights of the Old Republic, Rise of the Empire/Imperial Period/Dark Times, New Republic)
- Fix the fact that Darth Maul is fighting Clone Troopers by adding the REPUBLIC CLASSIC (Episode I) era
- New Maps
Kashyyk: Shadow Lands (KoTOR Era - Old Republic vs Sith Empire. Hero Units: Jolee Bindo, Darth Bandon)
Mustafar: Cloning Laboratories (from the final mission of SWBFES, but updated to look like more of a cloning lab with more tanks of unprocessed dark Wookiee clones. New Republic vs Imperiam Remnant. Hero Units: X2 and Darth X1. For infantry class ideas for the Imperial Remnant, see this page: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/X1%27s_faction)
- For the Rebels on Jabba's Palace, have Slave Leia be the hero unit instead of Luke
CAMPAIGN STORY LINE:
Play as a traitorous elite Clone Trooper set shortly after the events of Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, dispatched by Count Dooku to retrieve Republic intelligence. When his mission is compromised and it is revealed that he is allied with the Separatists and is responsible for the deaths of various Clone Troopers, he is sentenced to Republic prison. This was one of the biggest reasons why the Jedi questioned the Clone's loyalty to the Republic and if they had a future continuing to serve along side them. The night before Order 66, Count Dooku's successor, Darth Vader, requested that the Clone was released from Republic prison. When Vader realized that the Clone was still alive, he realized he could make use of him. Republic prison guards denied setting him free, which resulted in Vader slaughtering all of the guards and leaving the remaining prisoners for dead. Vader offered the Clone a decision: participate in Order 66 or rot in prison.
Love it =D But why should we use the older BF1 controls when the BF2 ones were fine? It makes no sense that we should have to crouch before rolling; I find rolling is the best evasive move in BF2.16AndPregnant wrote:Yeah Heroes had a lot more options than the Villains did. Well all you have to do is run to the side and press B. I also feel like Star Wars Battlefront 1 had more of a feel to the movies than Battlefront 2 did.Chaos wrote:Love it =D But why should we use the older BF1 controls when the BF2 ones were fine? Its an interesting idea for a campaign but I just hate the clone wars and that prequels. I want to see new characters. Does Darth Vader and yoda really have to be in every star wars related thing? Give me some more Galactic civil War era storyline where you play as a rebel spy who has been captured and tortured by the empire after attempting to retrieve the death star plans. The missions could be played as flashbacks of how he got to that point.
Is that an ancient tibetan dagger in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?
Darth Vader and Yoda aren't in everything Star Wars related. There's nothing wrong with their appearances anyway. I'm sure Darth Vader would pop up somehow in that campaign idea. My idea would give a more interesting twist to The Clone Wars imo.ctrooper wrote:Its an interesting idea for a campaign but I just hate the clone wars and that prequels. I want to see new characters.
