Well we know there are some people who are for personal coloured armour customization and those who wish for it all to be the same to give it that army of clones feel. What if every unit was a certain colour for the battle? We know that certain groups and armies in the clone wars had differing armour colours to distinguish themselves from one another.
What if at the beginning of a single player campaign or online battle if there was a limited choice on what pre-made armour could be worn? This could give the players an option and feel different while at the same time being the same. Of course since each class unit is different as well each should have a slightly different design as their armour is more or less bulky.
Thoughts? Additions?

If this were to work, which I'm not too sure about it, you would have to make sure that all the pre-made stuff are from the Star Wars Universe, and not adding any of you own, unless they look EXACTLY like the others in a design sense.

I kind of had the thought of in the third movie where Obi Wan Kenobi was attacking Utapau and his troops all had orange stripes with the usual armour. Also in the Rebels there were Red Team, Green Team, Gold Team and such. The Droids have command units which have different colours on their heads. The empire is honestly the only issue that i don't know how they will implement it. Maybe a certain symbol for ground, space or defensive symbols. Who knows.Terrabyte20xx wrote:If this were to work, which I'm not too sure about it, you would have to make sure that all the pre-made stuff are from the Star Wars Universe, and not adding any of you own, unless they look EXACTLY like the others in a design sense.
The designs are not customizable and the colour scheme is on all troops. Of course different classes like Heavy troopers have a different design from Snipers which is where the customization comes in due to the different class choice. Choosing to be a certain team and colour can appeal to some people who want customization without totally making everyone different.

I like this Idea, It could allow groups of people to feel like there all together Like let's ay there are five versions of each armor of each class like Clones-->Engineer-->501st Skin. And Clones-->Vanguard-->501st Skin. Something along the lines of that. So their friends can feel like their in a group whilst playing different classes but having a similar color scheme. ( I Only read the first post) So were you thinking about something like that? And also perhaps a "Squad" Option should be available so a team could better coordinate attacks and things like that. Or just charge them with little to no thought at all. Either way is good to me.

Yeah thats basically what I had in mind; a little customization never hurt anything. I just don't want people running around in pink armour with no pants on so full customization is a big no no.RunsWithSkissrs wrote:I like this Idea, It could allow groups of people to feel like there all together Like let's ay there are five versions of each armor of each class like Clones-->Engineer-->501st Skin. For the squad option are you talking about something like Battlefield? I wouldn't mind that at all, actually I quite like it. That would give a feel of republic commando where its a small team but you can work together more effectively. But i think that being able to spawn next to a squad mate on the other side of the map wouldn't be good so changes would have to be made to that.
Yeah, I completely agree with you on how full customization could be a bad thing. And as for the squad thing I completely agree, Cross-Map spawning is already possible with command posts. No point in making it easier than it already is.

I like the squad idea, each squad having their own colour or insignia would work really well (in my opinion). As for personal character customization, I think that it should be limited to armour types. Something like Halo:Reach where you have a lot of fantastic options, but everyone still looks like they're a part of the same army and isn't absurdly out of place.

Why don't we just get rid of the color pink?Yeah thats basically what I had in mind; a little customization never hurt anything. I just don't want people running around in pink armour with no pants on so full customization is a big no no.
