This is in regard to the recent tweets by Spark that have stated the release dates for other games not made by Spark. Bear in mind, this would pertain to the release date window not the initial announcement date.

Spark has tweeted:
Spark Unlimited ‏ @sparkunlimited 22 Feb
g4tv.com Darksiders 2 will be released on June 26, 2012.

Spark Unlimited ‏ @sparkunlimited 22 Feb
g4tv.com Assassin's Creed 3 will be released on October 30, 2012.

Spark Unlimited ‏ @sparkunlimited 22 Feb
g4tv.com Journey will be released on the PSN on March 13th, 2012.

Spark Unlimited ‏ @sparkunlimited 22 Feb
g4tv.com Rovio has announced Angry Birds Space. It will be released on March 22.

Spark Unlimited ‏ @sparkunlimited 29 Feb
g4tv.com PS Vita game Gravity Rush will be released on June 12.

Spark Unlimited ‏ @sparkunlimited 22 Feb
g4tv.com The Secret World will be released on June 19.

Spark Unlimited ‏ @sparkunlimited 22 Feb
g4tv.com Borderlands 2 will be released on September 18, 2012.

Spark Unlimited ‏ @sparkunlimited 1 Mar
g4tv.com Bioshock Infinite will be released on October 16, 2012.

When asked why they were posting those dates, they said:
Spark Unlimited ‏ @sparkunlimited 22 Feb
I have said that the publisher will seek to a window to reveal and release. So, here's some source material to markup your calendars

This, perhaps, may give us some insight into the release window for the game(hopefully Battlefront 3) that Spark is making. If we assume that John(the Spark Unlimited person that runs their twitter for anyone who doesn't know) purposefully gave out those release dates as a subtle way to let us know what release windows the publisher is looking at, then we have three windows; April-May, July-August, and November-December. (Spark has stated that their game has been slated for a planned 2012 release)

If we accept that those other game's release dates were intentionally given for us to see those free windows of time, and we also accept that the April-May window is far too near for a game to be released given that the game hasn't even been announced, then we are left with either the July-August window or the November-December window.

Since any publisher would want the biggest visibility possible when announcing their game and since E3, which is being held June 5-7, is the biggest gaming conference of the year, it seems likely that this would be an ideal announcement date. It is two months after Star Wars: Kinect is released which should be a suitable amount of time for initial sales to die down.

This of course means that the July-August release date window is unlikely given they would most likely want more than 1 month's publicity. That leaves only the November-December release date window. Because Assassin's Creed 3 will be a fairly big gaming release(Oct. 30), a release date for Spark's game at least 3-4 weeks later makes sense. It also happens to coincide with the Thanksgiving/Christmas/Black Friday shopping season quite nicely.

Thanksgiving this year falls on Thursday, November 22. I'm making my prediction right here and now.

From Spark's twitter account 3/2/2012: I had told Spark that Tuesday, November 20, 2012, my original release date prediction, would be a good release date. They replied to me with this:

Spark Unlimited ‏ @sparkunlimited
@HRastapopulous Because of the crush, it's pretty hard to get stocked the week of thanksgiving. You need to be in the store before that.

Therefore, with this new information directly from the source, my revised release date for Star Wars: Battlefront 3 as developed by Spark Unlimited is November 6, 2012. That give them two solid weeks of selling before Thanksgiving/Black Friday. Mark it down :D

Well, November 6 would put BF3 4-5 days before the next CoD release, so I don't think that's a viable time period for Lucas Arts.

Also, Spark have said they expect to announce their game in 2012, not to release it in 2012 (according to their Projects listing page).

With this in mind, I think BF3 will be announced at Celebration 6 as August tends to be one of the calmer months in the gaming release calendar, and primarily because the Star Wars fans in attendance will no doubt go crazy over it.

I had heard they were trying to rush out another CoD but didn't know anything about any dates. If in fact a CoD is released Nov. 6th, you may be right and Battlefront may get pushed into next year.
