I too haven't played but have heard nothing but good things about Sins of Solar Empire. Also, my guilty pleasure games are FarCry and Dynasty Warriors.

I recomend playing just the original game first to get a hang of it and then play with entrenchment and then with diplomacy.

What are you struggling with? Economy? or does your fleet keep getting nailed?

Well, Spartan, play it on easy until you get good. Normal is what you should play all your games are. Unfair, it is impossible for you to win. On hard, it's nearly impossible for you to win.

Oh, and Sam, I play as the Vasari too. I'm really good at Skarovas rushing.
