Space maps in Battlefront 2 were pretty terrible. Outside of minor details like the placement of the capitol ships, they were all the same thing.
Grab bomber > Bomb the crap out of enemy ship > win game.

Land all the way. I have similar feelings as Kelevra and only ever played space maps for variety. It was kind of fun to put a transport in a capital ship which became a spawn point and then spawn kill everything. Other than that I wasn't a fan.
