Force Unleashed - Why the hate?

Post by HawkeFire »

Just wondering why everyone hates the force unleashed sweries, mostly the 2nd one. I actually liked them alot, even though the levels were far too long in the first one. i picked TFU2 for $20 AUS a few weeks ago and think it is pretty good, even though it doesnt have an origional story and is pretty short. i no it didnt lvie up to expectations, but cmon... it was pretty good! So may i ask, why does everyone not llike them?

It was a good game when I first started playing but once you finished the game, what else do you do? The 2nd one was very short but the graphics were amazing. I don't hate these games but LucasArts could have done a better job.

Too short, too easy, repetitive enemies, repetitive locations, the cool sections like the star destroyer are ruined by bad controls, story isn't interesting, killing enemies is repetitive, etc.

For me it has nothing to do with the gameplay, graphics or any of that. It's just the concept behind it. The Force isn't treated like some mysterious reality-bending power anymore, it's just a huge toy that you can use to throw junk around. I guess that technically started with the prequel films, but it's amplified to a ridiculous extreme in TFU. Like dragging a friggen Star Destroyer out of orbit.

I honestly don't know. I feel the story line is really good and the games are quite fun. They don't have much replay value yes, but that doesn't make them bad.

I liked the first and even bought the Ultimate Sith Edition version of it just to play the DLC but TFUII was REAL short and they could of just end it at the first with
Starkiller dead and not a clone. The clone idea ruined it for me.

I love the Force Unleashed! But, the multiplayer makes me feel like I would rather be playing Tekken 6. The single player was pretty fun, I liked the storyline and gameplay. TFU2 was just too short, and they didn't make it any better than the first one gameplay wise.

I kind of disagree here...now i didnt think that TFU games were great by any means..but i think the force wasnt quite "amplified" enough in the original trilogy...not bashing the films what so ever but i do like how the force was 'beefed up" so to speak in the prequel films/TFU. I see the force as the fist of a jedi...its unspeakable power and its wut makes all of us Star Wars fans want to be jedi...i like how they really explored its potentials and were able to make us feel like we were untouchable with the force on our side
