Are you sure you aren't think of Bluegrass? I know a lot of Bluegrass sounds the same while other stuff is great.

I agree with Obi, most country does sound alike. The only country song I've been into is My Kinda Party by Jason Aldean. Thats really it though.

And Scott, what kind if metal? Metallica metal, or screaming your head off while pounding your guitar to death at highest and hardest your amp can go? I like Metallica, just not what I described...

I like pretty much any kind of music, except for screamo. my all time favorite band is Relient K. as for the all country music sounding alike, that is some what true, but most rock sounds alike, and pretty much any genre of music sounds pretty much the same with slight variants.
