So I think that whatever game Spark Unlimited is working on if it is Star Wars will be announced February 10, 2012. I have two main reasons;
1st, Battlefront games have a rep of being announced or released in conjunction with Lucasarts titles or events For example, Battlefront 1 was released september 21st, 2004 that same day, the original trilogy was released on DVD and a gameboy advance game came. also Battlefront 2 was announced at Star wars celebration 3 and was released in coordination with Star Wars episode 3. This makes a good argument for Feb 10th because the Phantom Menace is going to theaters in 3d.
2nd, the heat from The Old Republic will have significantly died down by then, allowing Lucasarts to announce the game.
It makes sense to me... it may be why John from Sparks Twitter Feed is excited about the Phantom Menace.
Well I guess we should be looking forward for the 10th.

Don't forget that Star Wars Kinect hasn't been given a solid release date yet (it's coming out during Q1 2012 apparently) so it's possible LA may want to get that game out of the way first before an official B3 announcement is made.Gfunkymonkey wrote:So I think that whatever game Spark Unlimited is working on if it is Star Wars will be announced February 10, 2012. While I think there is a good chance that there could be a B3 announcement to coincide with the PM 3D release, as history has shown, I personally think it's more probable that the game will be announced at Celebration VI (which will be held between August 23-26 2012). This is really because it would receive the most attention and fanfare simple due to the fact that thousands of SW fans and members of the press will be convening at the event. Additionally, LA have always had booths at the Celebration events, so it's likely B3 would be playable by attendees.
When you compare this to a February 10th announcement (which would only comprise a press release and possibly a trailer) it's clear that LA would market the game better by revealing it at Celebration VI where the predominant consumer-base will be located (hence the generation of hype) and where people could actually play it.
