Well even though we are getting no progress on this game at all whatsoever, it is at least worth having a decent disscusion on who we think are the best designers that would fit this game. Here are mine:
1. DICE, I practically worship them, the Battlefield series with a SW twist would be great.
2. Infinity Ward, you have to give the COD company some credit.
3. Valve, despite the fact it would never happen. Valve only makes up their own stories and games. Plus there games are usually humourus rather that serious.
Any thoughts?

I go with infinity ward. Modern Warfare 2 was and still is AMAZING!!! The graphics are amazing and the multiplayer rocked.

Infinity Ward. MW2 kicks butt.

No offense, but I disagree with those choices (but a forum is for different opinions and ideas right?
)
DICE - Well if you like the Battlefield series than I can see why you would chose them quickly, but I don't know if they can make a futuristic shooter that's good. Remember Battlefield 2142? Enough said.
Infinity Ward - Infinity Ward is great.....for Call of Duty games. They can make set pieced but I don't know if they could make a game. Ya, I just knocked the COD series. But seriously, I don't see it happening as Activision has them as there *****. Although with the law suit going on, the servers could be going done so I hope you don't like CoD too much
Valve - I'm not gunna say anything cause I'm just not a big fan of Valve. Again though, there publisher is EA so it couldn't happen anyway.
Publishers suck because they cage developers and make it hard for the them to pick up properties, but they can make a new IP and get great marketing help. So love them or hate them there around (except with Bethesda who publishes themselves). So to really narrow it down, you'd have to do research on each developer you'd like to see make it and see what legal restrictions would stop them from making the game. So it's really hard to tell :S
I, personally, have no idea who would be making it, but I'm sure it's going to be some unknown developer who will probably screw it up. That is, if they it ever get's made.

If you never have played Battlefield than you have no idea you've been missing. Battlefield BC 2 is way better than MW2...by far.

Meh, to each his own.MillerTime30 wrote:If you never have played Battlefield than you have no idea you've been missing. Battlefield BC 2 is way better than MW2...by far.
Whether Battlefield is better or not, Lucas Arts has to find a developer who is not legally bonded by another publisher, and I think everyone mentioned is so far.

My Top 4 Hopes on who should develop BF3
1. DICE
2. Infinity Ward
3. Ubisoft
4 .Zipper Interactive
My Worst Fears:
1. Rebellion- did a bad job with elite squadron, the remains of Free Radical's BF3.

Why do people continue to ignore the legal system?
If a developer has a publisher that doesn't rhyme with Jucas Marts than there not going to be the developer. Ubisoft is an option though because they're there own publisher as far as I'm aware...

yeah, we need to figure out who has the rights to the game. My money is on lucas arts, and my hope is the new studio opened by the pandemic studio people

Ubisoft huh? Well, Assasin's creeed is an amazing game but as far as the FPS part of that company goes, they tend to stick with Tom Clany games, none of which are any good. I don't think Ubisoft would work well.

Ubisoft did Endwar, and I though it was kind of cool with voice controls for units

Well Endwar is an RTS but it is a neat game.Ironman21 wrote:Ubisoft did Endwar, and I though it was kind of cool with voice controls for units
GRAW is made by Ubisoft though isn't it?MillerTime30 wrote:Ubisoft huh? Well, Assasin's creeed is an amazing game but as far as the FPS part of that company goes, they tend to stick with Tom Clany games, none of which are any good. I don't think Ubisoft would work well.

Each video game develper has their pros and cons, good games and terrible games. It also depends on whether or not you actually like the game or not too.If I didn't like Zelda games, I would say nintendo is a crappy developer
