It would appear that many ex-Pandemic workers are now leading a different studio. This one is called "Globe X". As we all know, EA shut down Pandemic Studios, the makers of the Star Wars Battlefront Series, not too long ago. The studio is actually based in China, however, many ex-Pandemic workers are now leading the USA division of this company. All I am aware that they are working on are some MMO's, there is not a lot about them on their site. Could their BF experience cause them to take up the next game :?:

This is their Webpage: http://www.globexstudios.com/

This can be the best story we have heard.
"I am a Jedi, like my father before me."

Lets hope they retake the mantel that they already have claimed with the last 2 "real" titles

If I had to place a bet I would say Lucas Arts. It's a Star Wars prodcut so it must be in some way legally tie into Lucas Arts. The publisher almost always is over the developer in the legal and corporate hierarchy and Pandemic is gone so it really just makes sense at this point.

It would be alright to have them develop bf3 with free radical's template, which is most likely not happening

I just checked the US copyright list and no sign of BF3, however, when I looked in closer detail the dates of when the patents are authorised are within a week or two of the actual game release and to further support this theory I ran a search for the old republic and found no direct matches.

So basicallythe US patent office is not the place to got to find out about new games!

Damn, this has gotten a lot of publicity! To tell you all the truth, I don't personally believe that Globe X will pick up anything Pandemic related, even with ex-wokers. According to their site, they are trying to link the American and Chinese gaming markets or something like that, which is ironic. This is very Open-Door policy like, only China is the one behind it rather than the US.

Taking ex-workers can be a big blow to competition. There are many things that could have been in the contract prohibiting competition though. Infinity Ward might have this happen when the founders leave and possibly make a new company. With Pandemic it's not as big of a deal because there all job less and not that talented from what I've seen from them (Saboteur was neat though).
