Spark has added one more question to their Q&A section.
QUESTION: are you able to inform us who the publisher is of the unanounced project? - Jacob

ANSWER: To disclose the publisher would be tantamount to revealing the game. Since the publisher (who controls all sales and marketing information) wants to manage "the reveal", they will also remain "unannounced" at this time.

On a somewhat related note, I just Emailed them a question:
Hello, and let me just say I'm greatly looking forward to whatever it is Spark is working on.

I have a question. The site says the unannounced project has a "awaiting, highly critical audience." I'm curious how closely, if at all this audience is influencing the project. Specifically, are you looking at online communities and such to get an idea of what those who are awaiting want and wouldn't want in your yet-to-be-announced game.

Best Regards,

Anthony

Cool! I really hope they answer your question, it would give us an insight on what the game could be.

I got a response.
Hi Anthony,

Any “audience” input must be through public channels because of IP rights. (Posting to a public forum makes the information public domain.) I can assure the publisher has tailored their product wishes to maximize the audience appeal. Mind you that doesn’t necessarily mean the “vocal minority” will get their way. I have faith enough in the publisher’s skill to home on the true needs and wants of their community.

Regards,

John
