Ok, don't shoot me down straight away but this could work ...

The single player campaign could pan out like so ...

The cannon "light side" ending (we assume) of Unleashed 2 leaves Vader captured by the fledgling rebellion ... what if you don't get to control Starkiller but you are just one of the troops fighting under his instruction to keep Vader a captive. Various locations could be involved with Vader not being where he is reported to be until the empire eventually get him back & then the second half of the single player campaign would be Vader leading his troops to exact vengeance on Starkiller & ultimately killing him again (unless he just couldn't be bothered to help Luke/Leia/Han etc in episode 4,5 & 6! Or it could be the conflict from the other side with you being a storm trooper under the control of Boba Fett trying to rescue Vader for imprisonment.

The multi-player could just pant out as the previous ones with conquest modes etc that only need the maps used in the single player campaign & variations thereof.

I'm sure many will think this is a dumb idea but its another alternative & LucasArts have come up with worse ... Masters of the Teras Kasi anyone?!

I wouldn't go merging storylines like that. But games do often nod to eachother. I remember Kyle Katarn was in Empire at War. Having Kota, Marek, or whoever as side characters would be pretty neat, but I wouldn't want it to be the focus of the game.

Kota was in Elite Squadron. I wouldn't be surprised if he returned for BFIII.
