I was about to rant until I saw that you wrote you're top movies of all time. Removing all of the possible critiquing aside and just looking at it from an entertained viewer's perspective, here are my top ten in ascending order.

9. 21
8. Tropic Thunder
7. Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
6. Inglorious Bastards
5. Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy
4. Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope
3. Independence Day
2. District 9
1. The Hurtlocker

If I had to guess what Scott would rant about, it would probably be Tron. But than again School of Rock isn't a masterpiece either.

The other 9 are masterpieces but I was going more sentimental with number 10. It's my least favourite of the 10 so I didn't feel that it was too out of place.

Actually School of Rock may be the only Jack Black I've ever enjoyed. Its the only one that actually fits his traits. His rocker look and tendencies go perfectly with the theme. And his child-like humour go perfect with the slap-stick style comedy of the movie that would have fallen flat and been grey if it were someone else as the lead.

Why does Tron keep showing up? I'm not saying it was a completely terrible movie but I find it weird.

Independence day is certainly not a masterpiece either.

Well ctrooper, I'm going have to hurt you with words now.

Give me one good argument Independence Day isn't a masterpiece and I'll counter it with reasoning that it is a masterpiece and 3 reasons why Tron Legacy isn't.

Independence Day was a good watch but the whole interfacing with the alien computer an uploading a virus just ruined it for me.

3. The Empire Strikes Back
4. The Lord of the Rings
5. Dazed and Confused
6. American Pie
7. Fight Club
8. The Godfather
9. Pulp Fiction
10. The Dark Knight
