Sony has announced at E3(and probably before) that the machine will be backward-compatible with PSP downloadable games. Now before you get out of the thread and go "great, PSP titles", Sony also said that the titles will have dual analog support, so the controls won't be as wonky as before. They also said the quality of the game will be higher than the actual game. Graphics may have less rough edges, colors may be deeper since the screen is of a higher resolution.
Well, I'll be happily playing Star Wars Battlefront 2 and hopefully the squadron titles when I get the Vita! Thoughts?

The PS Vita will most likely NOT have the battlefront squadrons. They are only remastering the top most popular games and those two games aren't on the list. It's still possible, but not likely. I wish they did though...

They don't need to be "remastered" for the second analog stick control. They only need to be downloadable (since the Vita doesn't have a UMD drive). The second stick is automatically mapped to the face buttons.
Since Elite Squadron is already available on the PSN for download, it will work on the Vita with both joysticks. The availability of the other two Battlefront titles is...debatable.

All three Battlefront titles will be on the PSVita. They are all on the PSN.
