Why I think Spark is making BF3!

Post by GeneralChaz9 »

I think LA chose Spark, as a small company, to develop BF3. Honestly, what GREAT games has Pandemic had before BF? Or Rebellion Studios before the Squadron titles? Havok and Krome Studios before they made the console/portable versions of TFU? TTgames before LSW? Have any of those companies had any popular titles before Star Wars games? I think LA likes choosing small studios to make games for them and turn them into great studios! Just another reason why Spark may be making BF3!
Gaming is a way to show someone you ARE better than them :P

I guess your right. it does seem obvious, Lucas arts seem to be taking the small (bad) developers and turning them into big (good) developers
:D
Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to the dark side. The dark side leads to no Battlefront.

TT had many games before LEGO Star Wars, they use to have a weird creature sat on a toadstool with a stick as their logo.

While that would indeed be a benevolent act on Lucas Arts' part, the reality is that 'small companies' are cheaper to contract than the bigger ones (such as Gearbox, Epic, BioWare etc). If LA had more resources, it would not have hired Spark to develop B3 (assuming they are) because Spark's previous games have been woeful and LA know that.

I wish I had that clip form Doctor Who. You know, the one where the cyberman said "There is logic in what he says."

[cough]It's because LA throws lots of money at the devs to hire new people and take more time in order to make the finished game the best they can; like a publisher is supposed to.[/cough]

So does that make LA the guys who come along help you, and as soon as you're on your feet, go about their business?

Like most publishers who don't have a long time contract with their developers, yes. If they stop being an asset and become a liability and you have the opportunity to get rid of them, do it. That's the way they see it.

Let's not start that again... J/K

But in all seriousness, I see where you're going with this.

You can see a parallel trend when LA got along with Factor 5.The only hits they made were the SW games, well at least Rogue Sq. 1 and Rouge Sq. 2.

Ok, So, I E-Mailed Spark Unlimited asking on behalf of the Battlefront III fans that he would tell us if their unannounced project is Battlefront III and this is one of the employees Reply.....

"Thanks for taking the time to write to us. Unfortunately, we are under a strict non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with our publisher and all I can do is reply with a generic response:

We are the solely the developer of games. The publisher is the owner of said properties. All announcements, information and/or materials must come from or coordinated through the publisher. If you want word on Battlefront, you need to contact LucasArts.

At this time, we are prohibited from talking about who we are working with or working on either through affirmation or processes of elimination. So, I can neither confirm nor deny what we are working on or whom we are working for.

Thanks for inquiring. Sorry we can't divulge nor hint at what is going on here.

Regards,

John

P.s. At this time, there are no announced plans to as to when to announced the game."

.......So the P.S. ^^^ kinda makes it seem that if Spark is making Battlefront III it will be a while before we see it announced. But I think it is Battlefront III because of a Youtube video I recently found.....(I know that Youtube isn't all that reliable, but this guy had Facts to back up his statements..........Here it is.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDBpIRXB4aE Hope you enjoy it! :)-

If you agreed to keep a secret for your best friend, would you go around afterwards blurting it out so everyone would hear it, knowing you would be breaking your promise?
