Minecraft

Post by Sam »

I know Scott and I play it, we just tried to do multiplayer but my laptop was not the most suitable server host in the world.

Anybody else play it?

If you don't know what minecraft is then check it out here: www.minecraft.com

It doesnt look like much but once you read what its all about you will become amazed by it. It gives you a set of simple tools which you can do amazing things with!

I was going to post some pics of my mine but it flooded. When I get it completely restructured I'll do a walkthrough.

But, as I ventured around for a new exit path, I came across this:

Gold and enough lava to point me at some diamonds. Hurrah! I'd take a picture of the diamonds but I have yet to look any further and wanted to post this picture as it looks fairly epic and I am heading off soon.

For those who haven't checked out MineCraft you are missing out! For €14,95 you have to check it out.

@Tretarn Looking forward to see your tower!

You need this programme, called Cartograph. Go to the official minecrat forums and search for it:

http://www.minecraftforum.net/index.php

I can't because the forums are currently overloaded and won't let me search them!

EDIT: Oh yeah and current diamond count: 8 :D

Show off :P I got 5 :8):

EDIT:

I have some mine carts and have not figured out how to get the powered one to push the others while inside :?: You have any luck?

I also have created a nice fountain which I am quite proud of and an obsidian farm. I'll share diagrams once I have decent screens. The obsidian is for a portal to the Nether in case you are wondering :D

You have to apply a red stone current to the rail to get the powered rail working

You mean that use mine carts to boost your own mine cart? Also the ones that an entire concept and structure of mine was built on. Yeah Notch "fixed" the glitch that made them work in the first place :(

HE DID?! I haven't upgraded for a very long time so I'm not up to date. I guess I won't be updating now.

I also found out that the Minecraft coming to the 360 isn't just a port and won't be built by Notch but by a different developer. Good be great or bad news until more is released.
