Sorry if this post is in the wrong place. I've just been checking the spark unlimited jobs page again. You all probably already know that they have updated it. Take a look at the first job description:
Spark is looking for a senior multiplayer designer for a 3rd Person Action/Adventure title in a high-profile science fiction franchise currently greenlit for full production development for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC markets. The Senior Combat Designer will be responsible for collaborating on developing game design systems, AI behaviors, player mechanics, and game balancing, tuning and timing for a third-person action shooter on current-gen consoles.
So basically similar stuff to what they've already hinted. But here's why Im pretty sure it's battlefront.
1. 3rd Person Action Adventure Title: We all know this fits battlefront, and as Republic Commando wasn't 3rd person I'm willing to bet spark isn't working on it.
2.High Profile Science Fiction franchise: As far as I know star wars is the highest profile Sci Fi franchise ever.
3. Greenlit for full production development for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC: Battlefront 1&2 were both released on all platforms, although most games are nowadays.
4.AI behaviour: We all know this was a weak point for battlefront and therefore something spark would want to get right.
You all probably knew this already but I intended it more as a summary of what we know. I'm going to look around a bit more and if I find anything else I'll post it.

Also from the same Job requirements:
"Penchant for practical innovation and the ability to bring new ideas to the table."
I would imagine that if spark are making the game they want to really make it their own with loads of good features, especially with all the hype around it.
"Third-person action shooter experience with player mechanics and AI behaviours."
More about the AI. This seems to be a recurring theme.
"Strong sense of story and narrative techniques as they pertain to the gaming medium."
If battlefront is made and wants to be successful it needs to get the multiplayer Market, but a singleplayer campaign would be important too, especially with a franchise like star wars.

Senior Multiplayer Designer:
Strong understanding of basic multiplayer gametypes/playlists (TDM, DM, CTF, etc..) plus the capacity to successfully develop innovative modes.
A game like battlefront has a lit of opportunity for innovative modes.

Spark is looking for a senior character artist to create first-in class content for a 3rd Person Action/Adventure title in a high-profile science fiction franchise currently in full production for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC markets. As an experienced senior character artist, you will work together with the character and animation groups to create the best looking creature, human and non-organic character models to life.
What other game would feature Creature, human and non organic life?

Experience with hard surface and smooth deforming character pipelines and setup.
This is a requirement for a 'character rigger' .
Could hard surfaces on a character mean Droids or Clone Trooper armour?

Develop and maintain network ready code to ensure that it meets multiplayer/coop functionality and requirements: client/server state replications, latency, synchronization, cheating, etc. etc.
Multiplayer and CoOp??? It's a tiny connection with battlefront but anythings worth investigating.

Now this is interesting:
Write well architected, robust, and maintainable code with good coding standards for all platforms with an eye towards usability for multiple games.
Multiple Games!!!!!! Does this mean possible sequels?

For the senior audio designer it mentions: 'external audio sources' and pre existing assets. All the sound effects of star wars already exist so this may be a lead.
Does CTF stand for 'caputure the flag'?Wevans199 wrote:Senior Multiplayer Designer:

Don't mean to be the devil's advocate , but it's likely these new postings are requirements for Spark's next game after Battlefront 3 (if they're making it), because surely B3 is well into full production by now, so why would Spark require someone to create the story and write new architecture for it this late?
I do believe spark is making the game but they just need Lucas arts to reveal it. I think Lucas arts will show a teaser trailer at E3 and then spark will show a proper trailer at comic con. As far as I know spark isn't a very large company so why would they be working on 2 games? And yes CTF is capture the flag.
might want to watch E3
That is all i can say

Are you a Spark or Lucas arts employee???
I always wondered if they were watching us lol

He's a guy with a supposed insider. Whether he's lying or not nobody's been able to tell but he's a nice guy so I have nothing against him.Wevans199 wrote:Are you a Spark or Lucas arts employee???I always wondered if they were watching us lol

I guess we'll just have to wait for E3 to find out.
