New Laptop, Gaming question...

I got this new laptop for Christmas(which I think is absolutely awesome), and I am having a hard time deciding if I can/should game on it. Here are the specs:
Acer Aspire 5733Z-4851
-Intel Pentium P6100 (Dual Core, up to 2 GHz)
-15.6 HD LED LCD (720p)
-Intel HD Graphics(Mixed reviews, some say good, some say terrible...)
-4 GB DDR3 Memory
-500GB HDD
-DVD-Super Multi DL drive
-Acer Nplify 802.11 b/g/n
- 6-cell Li-ion battery
- 64-bit Windows 7

Well, my question is this; will I be able to run Halo 1 and Halo 2, Battlefront 2, with these specs? I can run World of Warcraft trial really well, with just a little lag, but that was just when free roaming in the open world.

And I also did a little research on this Intel HD Graphics card. I have seen reports of people playing Star Wars TOR on it, with it working fine. I have also however seen many poor statements on it, as its a built in card, or something. I kinda go against those as I can run WoW pretty smoothly, but idk.

I need a little help wth deciding to put money into PC games, and then not having them work properly.

They should all run perfectly well on your laptop but this laptop obviously was not designed for gaming. Of course those games can work perfectly well but you will have a hard time playing today's games like MW3 or BF3.

You're parents might have intended to buy you a laptop purposely for school, not for computer games. Otherwise they would have bought you a gaming console which comes at the same price.

If you are a serious gamer like me then a custom desktop would be the best. Your laptop's graphics card is terrible, the Pentium processor is old but since those games were made a millennium ago, I don't see why they shouldn't run.

I'm completely illiterate regarding anything computer-spec related, but old-ass games like Halo and Battlefront should work perfectly fine on any relatively new computer.

If you're unsure about any title, you can always check the compatibility on sites like Can You Run It

That should tell you if you can run a certain game on your computer.

Is that one of Intels integrated graphics cards? or is it seperate?

Surprisingly enough, it was for both. Finances really arent that good at the moment, so a customized gaming laptop/computer was not possible. I just wanted a newer computer so I could actually use it for both. I'm not currently interested in gaming on my laptop except those few games, so until I have the money for a high end PC, my PS3 is my gaming console.

My old laptop didnt have a disk drive, microsoft office, or anything I needed for school or gaming, and this one will most certainly get me through until college, and maybe even beyond, as long as its only for school.

So spartan, thanks for confirming those few games will work! I know the graphics card is crap for todays standards, but I'm not interested in PC games that are also on PS3.

Thanks guys! BTW, I tried Can You Run It?, and it told me I couldnt run anything, but I've tried demos and most games work flawlessly.
