Looks like their teasing a new PS3 exclusive "that no one would believe." I don't think it's the "Last of Us" announcement I posted above.

Much better than expected. I'm going to have to get a new friggen computer before Generals 2 rolls around. I'm hoping they've learned from Tiberium Twilight.

I just have to say that this was the crappiest VGA ever!

I hope they can bring back the C & C magic of the past with generals 2. I absolutely hate the direction EA took the series, even tiberium wars struggled I think. We shall see.

I'm a little disappointed that Twisted Metal wasn't even nominated for Most Anticipated Game. Seems like a lot of people haven't even heard of it.

No new Battlefront.

Call of Duty once again with the Best Shooter sadly.

Bethesda wins Studio of the Year even though they made a terrible port of Skyrim for PS3.

Best Portable Game did not even nominate Dissidia 012, or really any PSP game.

Resistance and Killzone weren't nominated for Best Shooter.

Not only were there games that weren't nominated that I personally believed deserve it, but there were few announcements. The Last of Us is new, and Epic games has a new franchise, but that's it. I mean, we are about to get ANOTHER Halo game in 2012, ANOTHER Call of Duty in November, A RUMORED 3rd Assassin's Creed already, etc. CoD needs a desperate break, Halo is starting to feel milked, Assassin's Creed is starting to be milked, and they all bring little in each installment that is different from the last.

I'm not basing what I buy and play off these awards, but it seems that these awards are best on what the people 'want' to see win. What 7 year old kid doesnt want to see Call of Duty win? Who wouldn't want to see Skyrim win Game of the Year? Who wouldn't of guessed Uncharted 3 is Best PS3 game? The only surprise I had was Mass Effect 3 being the Most Aniticipated.

Am I the only one feeling this way?

It's all publicity and marketing. Cliffy b said it himself.
