Wishes
- More 1st person friendly. Like using the aiming system that stabilizes accuracy, such as the leading first person shooters out there, yet with the option of third person as well.
- More game modes, e.g. Search and destroy (where one team carries a bomb into enemy bomb site) Free-for-all. Survival mode, like in MW3 but not probable.
-Squad friendly, have more commands for AIs and give the ability for players to be in a squadron (use Battlefield 3 as a reference)
-have troops that can be customized like in Battlefront Elite squadron, where you can choose armor, faces(e.g. alien, human, male or female, and if possible facial features like BEARDS!) helmet on or off compatibility, Armor/clothing colors and designs. use halo reach as a reference for the system.
-Have weapon pick-up capability. Have customization classes with a fairness system (use all of the Call of Duty games as a reference).
-More weapons and add attachments.
-More realistic gun-play, with more damage and faster rate of fire and projectiles (e.g. lasers) move faster.
-Space to ground maps with both in one. Bigger maps with more buildings
-Include more cover and make character animations that lead to better cover battles such as battling behind cover like sandbags, debris, etc.
-have spaceship customization. Like adding a custom emblem and colors to personalize all aspects of the game
-Grenades should have a timer that can be "cooked" off (which means to hold onto the grenade to cut the detonation time after thrown)
-have better vehicles that do more damage, and have transport vehicles that have only that purpose.
-Have equipment that specialize in things like spawning, motion sensors, mines, health, ammo, explosives. Now some of this was in Battlefront 2, but this is in addition to grenades, not replacing. (Call of duty Black ops as reference)
-Weapon speeds with heavier weapons and pistols. These should affect the players movement speed.
-A possible Jedi/Sith customization system that allows people to choose single/dual wield light-sabers or double-blade. Also color, and force powers and attire(clothing/armor) etc. Just a
Necessities
-BRING BACK PRONE! (laying down)
-Bring back flying vehicles on land maps like the LA-AT gunships for transportation and for holding areas etc. Also make vehicles a little more destructive, and have more types available in maps.
-A real campaign with cut-scenes and such.
-There should be different grenades.
-Animations should be significantly better than before. SIGNIFICANTLY better.
- Explosions should be way better than before.
-Graphics. That's all I need to say.
-There should be some melee system so that enemies can't get extremely close to you, but it should not be extremely violent to earn the game an M rating. Some suggestions could be a hit with the gun or a stab with a small light-saber. These are obviously stupid suggestions, but you guys are creative.
-Scorch marks after blaster hits.
-Manning AA guns and such for bigger-scale battles.

Please consider any of these

Nice list. Some of those things are more likely to make it into the game than others, but they are all things that I wouldn't mind seeing. My one concern is that it would be to similar to a lot of modern shooters. If someone wanted to Call of Duty, the can just play Call of Duty. There's no need to turn Battlefront 3 into a clone of it. Still, I suppose it's possible to implement these features without harming the Battlefront feel of the game.

I like a lot of points you made but I'm not a fan of the cover system idea. Battlefront never was a cover shooter. If it became that gameplay would have to be much slower and vehicles would become overpowered. The entire game would be like Annex from Gears of War. Though Gears does it well an entire game centred around this mode would not.

Other than that your other ideas seem sound. AnthonyOstrich makes a good point as well. I also think a small pool of weapon choices based on class would be better than full out customisation for balancing concerns and to keep it a class based shooter.

I agree with scott there are a lot of good ideas. But SOME things are better left to stay in the game they originated from. Battlefront is classic. I personally don't want the gameplay essentials to change. Somethings are sweet from other games but, I don't want a star wars call of duty or gears of war. I want Star Wars Battlefront. There would be some things that would be awesome to have, Like Hit markers, Prone, a little more 1st person friendly, they had the option of 1st person in BF 2 but it wasn't great. I think customization should be to a minimum, maybe choose what type of armor you wear or color or things like that. But not a lot to the guns, maybe the option of 2 different guns for each type of class, Like a Clone Trooper could have two different main guns, The Long rifle Used in SW E2 that would have great accuracy, low rate of fire, with good damage(Assault rifle) Or the Short Blaster rifle mostly used in SW E3 where it would have ok accuracy, high rate of fire, and decent damage(Sub Machine Gun) I think that would be okay But I think if you got a lot of attachments, I think it wouldn't detract from the classic Battlefront feel. With accessories for the classes, I think there should be some options but not be so many options, but maybe 2 for each class. Have different options for grenades or mines, the little recon droid that signals a bombardment. But if the game is in development I think that Spark will do a good job at implementing some the of the idea's, from the forum, in the game. I hope this was not offensive. Everyone has their own opinions and should share them.

Just as long as people don't start mine-whoring again like in Battlefront 2, I'll be ok.

Here goes.
- More 1st person friendly. Like using the aiming system that stabilizes accuracy, such as the leading first person shooters out there, yet with the option of third person as well.
I could have sworn that already happened; the weapons were all scoped.
- More game modes, e.g. Search and destroy
Sure.
-Squad friendly, have more commands for AIs and give the ability for players to be in a squad.
No issues here. Having such squads contributes greatly towards the team efforts involved in the game.
-have troops that can be customized like in Battlefront Elite squadron, where you can choose armor, faces(e.g. alien, human, male or female, and if possible facial features like BEARDS!) helmet on or off compatibility, Armor/clothing colors and designs. use halo reach as a reference for the system.

Notice how everybody is wearing the same thing? that's called uniformity. Having some player models switch between species/race would be fine - mostly on the rebel side, but it wouldn't really make any sense for everybody else.
-Have weapon pick-up capability. Have customization classes with a fairness system (use all of the Call of Duty games as a reference).
-More weapons and add attachments.
I would prefer they borrow the Battlefield system, where every class has a small pool of weapons and equipment to choose from, so as to not undermine the purpose of having classes to begin with. Attachments...eh.
-More realistic gun-play, with more damage and faster rate of fire and projectiles (e.g. lasers) move faster.
Sure.
-Space to ground maps with both in one. Bigger maps with more buildings
Apparently that was the original plan before Battlefront 3 got trashed.
-Include more cover and make character animations that lead to better cover battles such as battling behind cover like sandbags, debris, etc.
Y'know, in old games when you needed to get to cover, you just crouched behind a rock or something. It worked just as fine, if not better than tapping a button to glue yourself to the nearest chest-high wall. Not to say it can't work, but I don't think such a system would lend itself well to Battlefront.

Then again, I could be wrong. I don't think there are any Battlefield style games with full cover mechanics. It could be a change for the better. But they'd have to find a way to make it friendly to both first and third person views.
-have spaceship customization. Like adding a custom emblem and colors to personalize all aspects of the game

See the customization argument above.
-Grenades should have a timer that can be "cooked" off (which means to hold onto the grenade to cut the detonation time after thrown)
Sure.
-have better vehicles that do more damage, and have transport vehicles that have only that purpose.
Like? Most transport vehicles in Star Wars have some form of defensive capability, as do most modern military transports for that matter.
-Have equipment that specialize in things like spawning, motion sensors, mines, health, ammo, explosives. Now some of this was in Battlefront 2, but this is in addition to grenades, not replacing. (Call of duty Black ops as reference)
Sure.
-Weapon speeds with heavier weapons and pistols. These should affect the players movement speed.
I can only see that happening with very heavy weapons. There really isn't a significant difference in running with a rifle and running with a pistol.
-A possible Jedi/Sith customization system that allows people to choose single/dual wield light-sabers or double-blade. Also color, and force powers and attire(clothing/armor) etc. Just a
Necessities
Eh, if there's a class centered on force-users, sure.
-BRING BACK PRONE! (laying down)
Very yes.
-Bring back flying vehicles on land maps like the LA-AT gunships for transportation and for holding areas etc. Also make vehicles a little more destructive, and have more types available in maps.
Sure.
-A real campaign with cut-scenes and such.
-There should be different grenades.
-Animations should be significantly better than before. SIGNIFICANTLY better.
- Explosions should be way better than before.
-Graphics.
Sure x5.
-There should be some melee system so that enemies can't get extremely close to you, but it should not be extremely violent to earn the game an M rating. Some suggestions could be a hit with the gun or a stab with a small light-saber. These are obviously stupid suggestions, but you guys are creative.
I never really liked the melee system in most modern shooters. I'm sure It takes a lot more than a pistol-whip to kill a fully-armored man. Or to destroy a robot for that matter. If anything a melee attack should just stun the opponent for a second and allow you to get some space, and a few free shots at them.
-Scorch marks after blaster hits.
-Manning AA guns and such for bigger-scale battles.
Sure x2.

Elite Squadron had melee attacks. I remember that for some reason I found it hilarious that you could smack people with your fusion cutter.

I just realised, isn't "fusion cutter" an oxymoron? Aren't fusing and cutting kind of opposites?

They perform both actions.
