Planetary Invasion

So, I am guessing a lot of us are avid gamers. Think of BFBC2 and the conquest system in it(or planetary conquest in BattleFront 2). Now imagine it as BF3 as a Planetary Invasion.

-Imagine, Starting off in a space battle. Where you fight the beginning of the battle of the invasion then soon as the enemy capital ship is destroyed or space defenses are down, The defending team starts spawning on the planet where they would have plenty of air and ground defenses(like Anti Air guns, Fighters, large anti-capitol ship weapons like the ion cannon from SW ep5). While the Invasion team would have to fight to gain a foothold on the ground by using drop ships or gunships with fighter support (and with the occasional bombardment from the capitol ships :u: ), and then be a normal ground conquest(with very little tank or equivalent type units) until, A- the attacking forces loose their foothold, or Loose a Predetermined amount of troops. B- The Defending forces loose their last ditch effort to hold the planet. All of this would happen in one large map, kinda like the style where you can go from space to ground seamlessly. I think this would be really fun, and challenging for both sides and Keeping the game fast paced. Let me know what you guys think.

I actually think this would be very slow paced mostly because if the space team can't get a command point on the ground they have to keep spawning, grabbing a ship and flying back down.

The idea is a sound one other than that. The only problem being the disinterest in slower paced modes by players and the unlikely chance of it making it into the game.

Still it's a good idea and I'm sure the other members will have more to say.

I can see that... That's why there is certain amount of reserves for the attacking team. The transition between space and ground *should* be a quick one, Having ship spawn points like in BF2(Republic Gunship), I think these things would help this. I see it as a very fast paced game type with a lot of action. To maybe help the transitions have a couple second time gap of the defending teams spawning allowing the attackers to get to the planet. Like I said these are just Ideas, It would be sweet to see something like this in the game, But the likelihood of it happening are slim to none.
