Like the heading says, who else likes them and feels that they are very underated and excused as mere canon fodder. When I say CIS I also mean, more specificaly, the battle droids. B1 Battledroids, the ones that are seen as really crap and don't compare to the "Glorious clone trooper".

I don't know why, but I've always liked them since I saw them first in episode 1, and to be honest, I would'nt even like star wars as much if it weren't for battle droids. And therefore I refuse to believe that they are no more than the crappy, weak and flimsy foot soldier of the CIS, as it has been so popularly portrayed.

So I go back to the question: Does anyone like the CIS (and battle droids )? Why? And do you think they are better than the republic?

I like the republic because they have cool battleships and the clone troopers look really badass.

I think they're both pretty friggen lame.

I'm more of an Original Trilogy guy, so I don't really care as much. I do like how you pointed out how you think the original battle droid from Episode 1 is underrated. I actually prefer those than the bulky silver super battle droids. Don't know why, but they seem more nimble and at times, smarter with some personality.

But I prefer the empire.
