Well games have a lot of artistic elements like models, textures, sound, music etc... so I would guess that games are 'Art'.

I know, a lot to read, but is a good and rage-worthy read considering the man has never played a game.

Yes. Graphic styles, landscapes, characters, the story, the music, etc.
It's hard to explain though how they are art, but I consider them art.

If film can be considered art, so can videogames.
I recall a while back when I was playing Call of Duty. I stabbed some guy in the back of the head. Turns out he was some kid who didn't appreciate it, so he just called me a fag for the rest of the match. Truly art in it's purest form.
In short, if you want to call it art, it is. If not, screw it. So long as the game is FUN who friggen cares?

That is a common perspective and although there is nothing wrong with it that really doesn't pertain to the topic.Kelevra wrote:In short, if you want to call it art, it is. If not, screw it. So long as the game is FUN who friggen cares?
