You play as the faction of your choice and you are fending off against the faction of your choice. There is an infinite numbers of enemies. Every 50 kills you get you earn a supply drop, every 75 kills you can call in a hero to fight with you, every 125 kills you get earns the playability of a hero.

Don't feel bad if this gets shot down too. We have become a small group of people with very similar ideas and this seems to against what we think.
Anyway...I don't dislike this idea nearly as much but it still needs lots of explanation (setting, winning condition, losing condition, maps, goals, etc). Maybe I'll come around on the whole wave mode idea in BattleFront.

Eh. It pretty much sounds like 'Hunt' to me. I wouldn't have too much of an issue with it, but that all depends on how it's done.

I actually like this idea. I used to play the Battlefront 2 campaign missions so I can see how long I live against the infinite spawn of enemies.
It should be set up kinda like this:
-Only you and a group of reinforcements
-When the reinforcements die, they can't come back until about 5 minutes or so of survival
-About 5 lives, but can add up after a long time(like 20 minutes of survival without dying.)
-One spawn thats against a wall
-Some cover for reloading, low health
-Keep Health/ammo droids, make them very destructable and in wide open so they can be destroyed
-Increased amounts of enemies as time goes
-NO ROUNDS, but time of survival
-Constant enemy reinforcements while growing in numbers as time goes
-Co-op mode(off-course!

)
-Enemy ships come down to drop off enemy tanks and speeders
-It should be Clones fending off droids, or rebels holding off stormtroopers
-No hero bonuses, but heroes can come in from the attackers
Thoughts?

SO basically
You spawn with a total of 16 Clones/Rebels including yourself (and if your playing co op including them, so 4 players with 12 AI)
No med droids, but medics.
Ammo is a tough decision, because if you have an Ammo droid it seems to easy, but engineer seems unrealistic.
Maybe at the beginning you of the game you get the option to call in for reinforcements or not, if you call them they will take time to arrive but bring ammo and troops, if you choose not to you get bonus points and if you survive long enough you can call for them?
SO its more like a film scene kind of thing? Rather than a "Horde" mode?
Your holding out for reinforcements rather than just fighting forever?
Maybe they're could be some kind of goal, you get the option to return to base or carry on after a set amount of time?

Hey there new to the forums but when I was reading this post this came to my mind. Although I could see this as a great special mode just for online use, I also thought of this as possibly being a occurrence that happened in something like conquest of SWBF2 which also i hope would be multiplayer in BF3.

Similar to how troops are stationed on planets in the game Empire at War, lets say that if a invasion force of droids attacks a clone controlled planet with no stationed army this holding our for reinforcements mode happens. The encroaching army must take a well defended command post or communications array that the clones must hold out and defend until reinforcements arrive. If the clones do succeed in defending then either the droids would lose their remaining forces or end up having to retreat. Also maybe some auto turret system could assist the defending clones similar to the BF2 campaign mission on naboo?
Thoughts?

I like the Survival mode idea, athough it would mean more if you try to hold out for reinforcements. No rounds, as someone said, and I like the idea of Droids attacking a planet when this ensues. t' d be like that Clone Wars episode where General Grievous attacks and the droids take the outpost base, perhaps it could even be there! But still, have the ammo droid, but each player may ony use it 10 times per every twenty minutes. Players can give each other ammo, and when playing offline, players can choose any weapon they want to use. Also, the enemy could be Droids, Storm Troopers, or Zombified Genosians, causing you to run all over the map.
Thoughts please?
