I was reading an article on Crytek on IGN.com that said they were working on a new FPS IP title. But that is not the point. In the article it said they were working on a Third Person Shooter but was cancelled. Could that mean Crytek was once working on BF3 but again lost it since it was the be a TPS?

The third person shooter could have been anything but it was cancelled so lets hope that it was not BF3

I agree. The article didn't give any details but BF3 is on the major possibilities
