Space CTF

I just wish if they include some sort of space ship to ship combat and decide to include CTF that they make it so the flag is inside of the ship and you have to go inside, pick it up, get back in your ship and take it back to either your main ship or a base on land. I can't tell you how disappointed I was when BF2 screwed this one up big time. I mean, shouldn't that be the ONLY way CTF is played in space? Whats the point of having ships you can go inside and then just make it some color coded zone outside that you can fly through? One of the biggest mistakes about BF2 in my opinion.

You play other game modes?
I never really played CTF or any other mode (maybe hunt on occasion) unless I wanted to just camp slaughter loads of AI. A fun game you can play is by choosing 1 Flag CTF in Jabba's Palace, choosing the Empire, and then taking the flag back to your base without capturing it. Instead, die at the bottom of the staircase to the right of the capture zone and switch to a shock trooper. Now, without letting either team capture the flag, shoot rockets, plant mines, and throw grenades everywhere, causing loads of havoc.
That's the only reason I CTF. I think I only dabbled in Space CTF once or twice.

I too don't really play ctf but If they could make it the way you described it I'm sure alot of more people would play ctf

Seriously! How could would that be to spawn inside your capital ship docking bay with 10 other people and 4 of you board a transport, fly out escorted by fighters and ship mounted guns and fly over to the enemy ship. Once you fly inside their docking bay you land and everybody bails out and runs inside their ship to the control room where the flag is, grab the flag and fight your way out.
If the developers didn't include this in Battlefront 2 because they thought it would be too hard for not that many people to capture 3 flags, just make it one capture and the round is over. Have 3 rounds.
OR....
Have one team, the Rebels, start on the ground part of the level and the Empire start in space on a star Destroyer. Object is the Rebels have to fly up there and "rescue the plans" or flag or whatever and bring it back to the planet surface. Next round, the factions switch until one team has won 2 out of 3.

oooh and make it more realistic like the empire dropped some "secret plans" and the rebels have to do like you said, start from the ground and the imperials start from space or vice versa haha

Battlefront 3 needs to be an epic scale game, without having too many players. Rogue Star killers description of his capture the flag idea is how it should be. 4 people in a transport that you can move around inside. Flying through space with fighters everywhere. Boarding enemy ships with your friends and sabotaging them to crash land into an enemy base. It needs to capture the essence of the original concept: To make a game about a soldier in the star wars universe. Not a chosen one or a Jedi hero. I think they should make single player about ARC troopers because they're awesome.

Ok, but think about this, the craft (Star Destroyer, or any other like that) is a command post itself, so if you make it crash into another base well that would Quote: "End your trip real quick wouldn't it? " -Han Solo-

Touché. What of command posts could be destroyed? The more command posts you own the more ammo you spawn with. They can be destroyed by enemy engineers and rebuilt by friendly engineers.

Well, if you have two command ships 1 Rebel, 1 Empire or 1 Rebel land base and 1 Empire command ship you could have:
1. My original CTF idea where you have to fly from your base with team members, land in the docking bay of the star destroyer, get out and run into the ship, grab the flag and bring it back to your land base.
2. Sabotage, where instead of stealing an item like a flag, it's more about offense and defense like in Halo where you have 1-Bomb and Neutral Bomb.
--Sabotage where both teams have bombs and are trying to plant them in the command ships/land base.
--In 1-Bomb Sabotageone team is on defense and the other is offense and tries to take the bomb into your star destroyer and blow it up. 3 rounds, with teams switching off defense/offense.
On another note, you could have a Death Star Level where teams take turns trying to destroy it like in the original movie. One team is defending the Death Star and has control of the turrets and a docking bay/command area inside and also TIE Fighters. The attacking Rebels have X-wings and such and can either attack the turrets, which are hard to destroy while fending off the fighters, or they can dock and try to disable the turrets so someone can make a trench run and win the game.

The only problem with the death star as a map is : It's the size of a moon (but it's "not a moon, it's a space station". And if that was misquoted I will be mortified). It would suck if you were flying around the death star and it said: 'you are leaving the battle, turn back'

I wouldn't really find any problems with that. The entire Yavin battle sequence was limited to a very small area anyway (in/around the exhaust port trench). So if people are actually trying to accomplish the objectives they wouldn't leave the area under normal conditions anyway.

I suppose you're right there.

It could be similar to ground to space battles, but instead it space station to space battles, with the empire starting inside and being able to use those awesome turrets.

[Out of CTF subject] I hope that the turret you can use in space ship (Star Destroyer and Mc80) won't be laser beam and gatling,I want some turbo lasers ! That was som, ething that I hate in BF2,only autoturret where(more or less) real turbo lasers[Coming back to subject]
So yeah having some dynamic CTF objective would be nice too.
Example:[Background story]You have an Imperial Star Base, and a Rebel Capital ship jump out of hyperspace because they're out of fuel(I'm creating on the go).By luck the station is an unarmed refueling station without his escort. The rebels need it's fuel ![End of background story]
So by dynamic objective I mean lots of different type of things to takeback to different places.
1-The rebels needs hangar door unlock code.
So they will storm the station, take the code and go back to a certain point(the ship or hangar bay).
Now boom scripted animation,a transport land into the hangar bay, making this point impossible to capture back. But the imperial could destroy the transport and stop spawning.
2-The rebels got the code and have unlock the doors, now they must go in engineering room find somes keys ( or keycard [?] ) to go and unlock the fuel storage.
Again, kind of objective CTF.Taking an objective back to an other point. The imperial can intercept it and hide it,return it or whatever.
3-etc...
So you got my idea I guess.
Edit:I just realised my idea is more an objective type game than CTF
