Tomb Raider Franchise Director Hired By LucasArts For Unnanounced Project
According to Gamasutra, LucasArts has hired Crystal Dynamics' previous Tomb Raider creative and franchise director, Tim Longo, as creative director on an unannounced game.
In the past, Longo has worked with LucasArts on games like Star Wars: Starfighter and Jedi Starfighter as lead designer, and was creative director on Star Wars: Republic Commando. Most recently he worked on Tomb Raider: Underworld and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider Anniversary. Curious to see what LucasArts has in store for its next project.

Might be of interest to everyone. Although thing I question is IF Battlefront 3 was in development, seems a bit late to be hiring people to such a project, maybe another project, maybe Battlefront, I hope so.

It's more likely that Spark is making SWBF3 from the research and evidence I've seen. My guess is Republic Commando 2. (He says hopefully)

But it could be just a new game completely.

I wouldn't be surprised if LucasArts wanted to make a new Star Wars FPS to appeal to the mas market; as that is what most gamers seem to be buying these days.
But a Republic Commando 2 would be much welcomed, I especially want to know what happened to Sev...

Umm... In the game he did die, and he never was part of the Imperial Commandos. I know this cause I read the novels, but Sev did actually die. But I do hope it's going to be Republic Commando 2.

Lucas Arts -as well as the RC game - have never told us what happened to Sev after his communications were cut, and Karen Traviss was forbidden to describe if he was alive or dead in Order 66 and Imperial Commando. That is because Lucas Arts retains the character rights to Sev and would not allow Traviss to tell readers his ultimate fate (
http://karentraviss.typepad.com/blog/20 ... t-sev.html) .So it begs the question, "Why hasn't Lucas Arts allowed her to tell us!" That's likely because LA might want to make another game where you play as Delta Squad searching for him, at the same time fighting for the Empire. Basically, he's MIA.
Also, Wookieepedia has a good description of the events following Sev's death,

Delta Squad appear in the first 2 minutes of "Witches of the Mist" in the newest Season of Clone Wars.
And sev is in it, I hope it is Republic Commando 2 I loved that game, it still comes in 4th on my most played games list, behind Halo Reach, Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops....
