Its been quite a bit now, "Spark is pleased to announce the addition of a new project for 2010." Well I sent them a message why the project hasn't been announced and this is what I wrote:
-----
I've been looking forward for the announcement of this new project. Sadly, it has been some time after the promised 2010 announcement as mentioned on the 'Projects' Page. Will there be an announcement soon and please tell me when. Updating the web page will be a great idea.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is what Spark replied:
------
Ah, thanks for pointing the web site error out to us. Interestingly it points out the even as developers we are kept in the dark if the publisher says so. We are all waiting public word from the publisher. I now expect something this year.
------------------------------------
There might be some updates on their web page soon so its best to check it out in these few days.
Edit: Check third page

Is that paraphrased or what they really said? If it is just paraphrased, do you have the original reply?

You should probably put [sic] after the 'the' before 'even' to avoid confusion. People will probably think you wrote the reply instead of Spark.

I fixed it and made it more clear. (first post)
@Scott. There are no paraphrases. It is original like a copy & paste.
Check out this thread as there will be another reply from spark mentioning E3 2011.

I then replied to one of the designers:
Ok, no problems. I think I should worry about more important things for the time being. Just one more question. Ok, I don't have to know what the project is as this is up to the publisher to decide but is there a chance or should you expect that the announcement will be held at E3 2011? I would obviously expect so.
And a reply from the designer:
We are all working towards an announcement by the publisher sometime this show season which includes E3 2011. But I could easily see the publisher not wanting to say anything till next year. A publisher could see an announcement as cannibalizing the press and attention to other games. Publisher routinely move project news and dates around based on development and market conditions. So, we could easily be working in the dark for awhile. We won’t know till the publisher says “go”.
Interesting stuff. I like how he used the word "cannibalizing".
Tell me... what do you guys think?

This seems promising. Next year seems like a more realistic approach to the release, but who knows? We know hardly anything of the nature of their project. I, for one, am keeping my hopes up.

The use of the word cannibalizing is interesting as it implies that what ever they are working on it will take all attention away from other games.
He could be just attempting to rise excitement, but if it is as big as they say, then I'm excited regardless of what game it is.
This may be a stupid question but what publisher is it?

Don't know. Google it.
I wont send any more messages. The guy which I cannot name would never tell me.
Oh yes, and the "coming soon" section. lol

You shouldn't get too much excited since there is still no proof BF3 is being made by Spark Unlimited. I think we need some solid leaks or evidence to have a brighter idea to whats really going.
So, we could easily be working in the darkside for awhile.
lol if he said that.

That caught my attention aswell. It also implies that they are working for a publisher with atleast 1 other game in development that has already been announced.
We shall see.
