Tom Clancy's HAWX 2 Review Xbox 360

HAWX was a great jet fighter game featuring over 50 fighters including the Night Hawk, the Super Hornet and the F-22 Raptor. The story was well thought and fighters had multiple weapon layouts you could choose. Now its pretty boring since I played it too much. This game deserves a 7 out of 10.
But can HAWX 2 be better?
Lets start with a score of 5.
The campaign wasn't that great compared to HAWX 1 but it had an epic ending mission with a defence satellite targeting your plane with a laser beam. Then you had to fly your fighter through the long tunnel and destroy the Nuke (score +0.5 now 5.5). You had turns to play with different factions like the American HAWX squadron, the British and soviets.
This campaign can only be played with specified fighters and weapon layouts. That really sucks because you could do that on the first game (score -1 now 4.5). However, you can choose different planes/layouts and even make custom layouts on free flight, multiplayer and the new challenges and arcade missions. (score +1 now 5.5).
When earning credits you can use them to purchase fighters and upgrades. (score +1 now 6.5), but there are less fighters in the game (score -1 now 5.5).
What really changed in HAWX 2 was the ability to take-off and land your plane on airports and carriers for service. You could also do mid-air refuelling. (score +2 now 7.5).
Also different but less types of weapons. Like the precision missiles where you can change the view looking towards the ground and targeting the ground units. (score +0.5 final score 8).
8 out of 10
If you never played HAWX then I would think this review wouldn't make any sense to you but if you are planning to buy a HAWX game, just jump strait to the second one.
