This one mentions they want someone who will "create memorable performances for a 3rd Person Action/Adventure title in a high-profile science fiction franchise currently in development for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC markets", "Consistently meet project deadlines in a timely manner without compromising artistic integrity."
"Assist in the integration of animation with designers and engineers to create compelling in-game animation"
and last but not least
"Strong understanding of classic animation principles and its fundamentals (staging, timing, anticipation, follow through, exaggeration, squash and stretch) as well as the ability to create the full range of lifelike performances from the subtle to the dramatic and powerful. Demonstrated by a strong portfolio. Experience animating both male and female bipedal characters that showcases both acting/pathos and action performances. Experience in animating creatures, as well as, mechanical (machinery) animation Experience with facial animation and lip-synch."
Senior Character Art Contractor :http://www.sparkunlimited.com/jobs_posi ... TRACT.html
This one ahs some interesting phrases in " 3-5 years film or game production, and shipped game experience strongly desired. Understanding of biomechanics and anatomy." and " Experience and/or education in sculpting and drawing organic forms with an emphasis on human, biped and quadruped shapes "
Now some things I noticed to be of interest
"staging, timing, anticipation, follow through, exaggeration"
Is It just me or does that sound like a Lightsaber battle?
"both male and female bipedal characters that showcases both acting/pathos and action performances"
Possibly a more in-depth campaign?
"Consistently meet project deadlines in a timely manner without compromising artistic integrity."
Don't want any delays do they ;)
"3-5 years film or game production"
Why Film or game production, wouldn't it be game preferably?
Unless your game was based on film hmm?
"ability to create the full range of lifelike performances from the subtle to the dramatic and powerful"
ok i'll admit this phrase is to general for it to really matter but there's lots of both in Star Wars.
"Experience in animating creatures, as well as, mechanical (machinery) animation Experience with facial animation and lip-synch."
Tauntauns, Battle Droids, Grievous and Clone Troopers having a penchant for not wearing helmets
I think i've looked to far into it but I dunno.
What do you guys think, if you spot anything else reply and i'll add it in with Credit.
