Battlefront Online and BF3.

We've all heard rumors about what "sources" say is true, concerning the current state of Battlefront Online. The development Team that's allegedly building the game as we speak, is suspected to be Six Slant Games - the makers of the Socom series.

Rumors relating the Star Wars Battlefront 3 have been pouring out in vague droves for the last three years. The rumored project Jumping from studio to studio, only ever popping it's head above the water to taunt its fan base. Finally finishing at Spark, that is until it jumps ship again.

However, it got me thinking, what if Lucas Arts has divided up the development between Six Slant games and Spark. Six Slant making the online portion and Spark developing the campaign.

I mean, EA did it for the new Medal of Honor. Danger Close (single player) and EA digital Illusions(multiplayer) both utilized for the means of the end product.

These days the development teams on these AAA titles are getting bigger and bigger. Look at the Call Of duty or Assassin's creed franchises, they had a 1000+ people working between them. Does anyone know the Team sizes at either of these studios (Spark, Six Slant games). Would they be able to pump out the cash cow Lucas Arts is after?

I think Zipper Interactive are the creators of the Socom series actually.

An average studio has about 30-80 employees (Sony Santa Monica had 80 to work on GoW III) so if there were actually thousands of people working on these games that would mean over 100 studios. I also am fairly sure CoD has almost always been only one team. AC Brotherhood I think was spread. Spreading is actually usually very bad but it does sometimes work.

It's possible that Slant Six could be working with Spark on Battlefront 3 as a collaborative product, but news sources indicate that Slant Six aren't working on 'Battlefront Online' anymore, which is kinda old news anyway.

Hey as long as they've learnt the lesson of Medal of Honor(Modern Warfare)
Spreading is good, just don't be like DICE and not get the Memo.

EA LA@DICE "Were going for an Authentic experience as opposed to Realistic, still fun to play but feels like a realistic game. PS were using Unreal Engine"
DICE@DICE "Modern Warfare 2 was authentic right? Frostbite is the same as Unreal right? Do we still have Bad Company 2....."
DICE@Danger Close "Can you send us some of the skins and models from the single player? thanks. PS Cool name change!"
Danger Close@DICE "Yep here they are. PS EA's trying to make the different internal studio's seem like they have minds of their own, we don't though...."
DICE@DICE *Copy,Paste on top of Bad Company 2, Ruin everything*
DICE@Danger Close "Multiplayers finished. Now off to work on Battlefield 3"
Danger Close@DICE "Your S******* me....."
DICE@Danger Close "Sorry busy making Battlefield 3, can't help you with MoH anymore"
Danger Close@Danger Close "DAH SON OF A B***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

And thus became Medal of Honor with its stunning single player and completely crap Multiplayer *Grrrr*

Sorry to double post but I just had a look at your links, an employee says "LucasArts apparently wanted the game to be shipped in 2010 and not next year where they already have a "stacked 2011 schedule" for Star Wars games."
