The old leaked video from Free Radical

I was thinking about it the other day when I realised something.
Someone, somehwere has the high quality video file, whoever hosted that meeting has it in all it's glory.

How come that hasn't ended up being leaked, I mean if i'd been made redundant i'd have done anything to P*** off whoever was responsible (In this case LucasArts)

Anyone ever thought about that?

That is interesting as it was said that the video was leaked by an employee's portfolio. If that really was the case then every employee that worked there at the time when it was taken over, had that video for some time. The leaked footage however, that was already on the internet, was pulled down by Lucas Arts from the original site that uploaded it... claiming infringment of rights. All of this makes sense if only it is thought of one way. When the company got taken over, everybody took their portfolios. One employee was able to upload the video. Between the time that the company got taken out and the video was uploaded, Lucas Arts would have forseen this and would then demand everybody elses portfolios or any documents or work relevent to Star Wars Battlefront 3. The video is one thing but the small pictures that got leaked could have been stolen by an employee that didn't give back his/her entire portfolio when demanded to. Why would Lucas Arts want to do this? They had intended to finish the product, which rebellion had picked up before it was dropped again by them. A few attempts to get the game remade or finished since then were made by Lucas Arts, which everybody should know. In which that video is held by Lucas Arts... but I don't know why it is still on youtube. Also, we woln't know if they are working on the game or not until it's already too late... we never knew about Rebellion picking up the game untill it was already moved on and about Star Wars Battlefront Online until that was already dropped. We will not know yet, if anybody is working on it right now...

If (IF) they took a video of that meeting (why would they?) they probably would've destroyed it or stored it somewhere far, far away.

Someone has to have the video though, even a LucasArts employee?
I've just thought of something else, did Free Radical have the rights to use the Unreal Engine at the time Battlefront 3 was being developed there?
Because if they did it could mean that it survived and is being finished at Spark.

that is a good question but besides the unreal engine, just about every description of the game describes battlefront

I agree, apparently the Pandemic games ran on the "Zero" Engine.

Battlefront 1 and 2 were built on it. It was pandemics engine and was used in LOTR:Conquest as well. Why was BF3 even at Free Radical, it started around 2006 I dont get why it wasn't at Pandemic. They made one and two but had absolutely nothing to do with three. Also hate to say it but the thing spark are making mentions "Team deathmatch, deathmatch and ctf" only one of those fits with it being BF3.

ctf was in all the games except the first and deathmatch isnt hard to insert into the game... tdm is summarizing conquest, but also with online matches, all the games have had a tdm option

The reason for the video still being up is because A)They arent working on it anymore or most likely in my past dev experiences B)They want to see how many people watch it so when its really announced people have something else to see other than a trailer to build hype.

That could very well be so but I see it more as because it was out there to begin with people were going to talk about it regardless if the video remained up. So even if they requested it to be taken down people would still know that BFIII was in existence. In other words, they didn't see the point to take it down and still don't.

At the time where Free Redical work on the Game, they have Work with the Unreal engine already.
